In 2007, following are the highest run scorers in one day:

Hayden: 1555- 29 matches
Tendulkar: 1425 - 33 matches
Yuvraj: 1287 - 36 matches (1 x 100s, 9 x 50s)
Ganguly: 1240 - 30 matches (12 x 50s)
Dravid: 823: 31 matches (8 x 50s, 3 x 0s)
Gambhir: 634 - 21 matches (1 x 100s, 3 x 50s, 3 x 0s)
Utthappa: 509 - 22 matches (3 x 50s and 2 x 0s).

Idiot idlis, tell me, why should Gambhir or Utthappa be preferred in place on Ganguly....why?????????

sale mcs, ganguly ko hataya to runs kaun baneyga...tera baap?

Ganguly also is a very useful 5th bowler who enables India to take an additional batsman...he also bowled 76 overs in 2007 for 7 wckets and gave away 344 runs (liitle less than 4.5 runs per over!!!)

How many teams would dare to make him sit out???
So friends, stop this nonsense....dont compare him with these buch of idlis...even at the age of 36 he delivers and contributes a lot.

Salute to Saurav Ganguly!

Mr. Pseudo Yuvaraj, Openers duty is to consolidtae innings and not bang-bang right from the beginning. If you want to compare Openners Strike rate with 4th/5th down batsman then you are SIMPLY FOOL or don't ever played cricket. Have you seen the performance of Uthappa and Gambhir in initial overs. You can also try the same for Rohit Sharma in the initial overs.

If you are interested with Ganguly Strike rates in 2007 then it is 73.35 % and it is good as an opener.

you will be surprised firedn...Ganguly's strike rate is 73.58 ...

Yuvraj 79.6,
Utthappa: 61
Tendulkar: 81.27 (amazing isnt it)

Guys do u want to compare the strike rate of a guy who is openign and facing the fast bowlers with a guy who bats at slog overs?

Lol...speaks volumes of your IQ...

Aus
SA
NZ
Eng
SL
Pak
Zim
Ireland!
WI even

Our's is the only team that has to have him in the team coz they are regionally biased and wouldn't remove him coz of ppl like ya.

Pathan should be promoted No.3
by Mohammed Zameer on Nov 19, 2007 10:11 AM

Dear All!

Well India has to use pathan batting skills, as he an good allrounder and perform under pressure very well, I dont think any problem to promote him batting No. 3, just to remind he is only player who score century in South Africa first class match when India toured to South Africa and made good contribution in 20-20 World cup. He can blow very well with good speed and slower ball to desive batsmen.

Any ways India has won the series and should concentrate to win the test series.

Selectors and Captain should now understand that replacement of Ganguly is not yet possible. Time has not come yet to replace Ganguly.

Stop bsing man! We're gonna be perfectly fine without Ganguly in our team. He doesn't fit into the scheme of things. he isn't as aggressive as he was before or even half the batsman he was and as far his fielding is concerned ( He's set fielding standards so high, Jonty Rhodes couldn't have matched him even if he tried. ), you know better. it's high time he's constantly rotated with other players in the team.

Somehow I never felt the need of being educated. Especially coz ppl like you who are pompous and biased and hypocrites of the first king order. Dude, as far as my dad is concerned let us leave him out of the particular conversation. Education is not speaking in English. Education is knowing right from wrong. Those are the basics of anything in life. If you can't understand right from wrong then you no longer are a part of this conversation coz ur amture ignorant fk.

Thank you,
An Uneducated Guy :).
