What is the point in including Murali Kartik in the squad? Already Kumble and Bajji are there. And, there is place for only 2 spinners in the final eleven. And, there is no way they will drop bajji and take murali instead.
I strongly believe Sehwag should be in for Jaffer. Jaffer is next to useless. Pathan should be in for useless Sreesanth. Sreesanth is next to Jaffer. Instead of Murali Karthik, they should have opted for Badrinath. Given the circumstances, Murali might not get the chance to play.
It's high time to drop Ganguly. He deserves the punishment.

In ODI's...he is third place and second indian for scoring most runs in this calender year and also check for test..... He is better than all the young guns and also dravid. I don't know...how u will selected the team without knowing cricket statis...... before write pls think.

u are showing ur foolishness here. Shd someone be picked on his ODI performance in tests? If yes then I wd prefer gambhir anyday to Ganguly.
Why should Dhoni in test squad?Just see his keeping performance in ODIs.We are just surprised to see Irfan is not in the team. Finaly Kumble as a Captain----God Save the team.

It was GOD's wish that influenced the selectors to pick Kumble as captain. Otherwise why Sachin should backtrack? So God will definitely save the team, Sanjubaba.

my dear friend you first improve your cricketing knowledge. It was not Ganguly it was Dravid who won the test against pakistan after almost 30 years and in the final test Rahul Dravid was the man of the match so shut your mouth and read some books to gain the knowledge.
I am not dravid not ganguly either it is just talk of injustice against a player who has contributed his whole and soul and still people are pointing at him

Dear Ajeet singh, before berating about idlis and dosas (which you unashamedly eat in large numbers!) get your facts right. 1st test multan, mr. ganguly conveniently pulled out citing personal injury. Rahul dravid captained, and thanks to sehwag 309 and tendulkar 194 he didnt have to bat. India won by 52 runs. The second test india lost 9 wickets, still dada wasnt around. The third test dada conveniently came back as he had to as it was the final test. The idli = rahul dravid 270 and dosa Laxman 71 chipped in the bulk of the scoring and when the bowlers were tired, dada strolled in and grafted a 77 with lots of discomfort. India won that match by innings and 131 runs! Please understand cricket is a team effort and no single player can ever dominate. Thats why though individually aussie players cannot match the individual brilliance of SRT, Sehwag, Rahul Laxman, Ganguly, they collectively excel. We may end up having maximum centuries on individual level, aussies will have more test wins as their focus is different! Stop acting parochial and think as an indian. As a punishment, i sentence you to watch chak de, ten times, especially two scenes. 1) where the guard asks the girl from andhra as are u madrasi and the scene where sharukh doesnt pick up the team members until they say they play for india! No hard feelings buddy, just a friendly thought and welcome for a dosa and idly any time at ahmedabad. p.s we also make good pindi chana!
Selectors job is to select .. period and not to obtain consensus on the same..and in any case in a country will a billion cricketing experts..there is no way any consensus will be reached on team selection..ever...
The selectors have done the job reasonably well this time. These players shall do well in the the first two tests and cement their places for the rest of the series against Pakistan and Australia as well.
