by Ravikumar on Jun 04, 2007 03:54 PM  | Hide replies

Even Our prvious coaches like John Wright and Chappel were as good as whatmore before coming to india.lets see what happens to Dav.Bob Simpson long back said that no one make indian team better. Not coaches the attitude of players neeed to change first.Selfish and negative mentality players like Sachin& Saurav, Zaheer and Kaif needs to be thrown out.

Hey Sourav! Give some sensible ideas. Old players should give way for youngsters. You want an Indian team full of grandpas?

Australian Dav Whatmore:Get your resignation ready!!
by Bharat Kumar on Jun 04, 2007 03:49 PM  | Hide replies

hmm..first greg, now whatmore and god knows how many will be forced to quit. Choices are many but then the team has to perform- not the coach. The men in blue will churn out another accusation- The coach is pressurising the camp for physical fitness/practice when they are busy with their endorsements/sight-seeing activities. The senseless cricket fans will blame the coach for destroying Indian cricket and building pathways for the succes of Bangladesh. All this trash really sucks. I appeal to the masses to drop cricket, thus crippling BCCI and fancy any other sport. Trust me, the players won't let you down.

Sachin & Dada are very selfish players
by balbir panwar on Jun 04, 2007 03:39 PM  | Hide replies

Balbir

Dear readers,

I remind you to England's Kevin Peterson, In test matches also, he plays like ODI, After scoring 90s, he got last ten runs in 2 balls whereas sachin and dada scored between 90 to 100, have waste 50 balls for 10 runs to score his century, look the diffirence. You people should know the staticks. It means as Greg said that they are mafia, well said mafia for the culprits of cricket. Pl. sack both the players, sachin and dada and employeed in D company to earn rest of the money

cricket lover, Swadeshi

What the Dav..il !!
by heaven on Jun 04, 2007 03:37 PM  | Hide replies

Sachin's Act:

SRT: Aila Dav!
Dav: Yes Sach...errr Sachin sir?
SRT: Have a confession to make.
Dav: I am all ears...errr sir?
SRT: People say I got the tennis elbow due to holding a heavy bat....
Dav: Yup, thats true...
SRT: Actually I have been batting with a heavy bat since childhood, its not that actually....
Dav:...Then whats it?
SRT: If you remember, I was gifted a Ferrari car, F340 top of the line, custom built for me and approved by my dear friend and fellow legend, Michael Schumacher...
Dav: Hmmmm...aaand?
SRT: Aila, was soooo excited by the fact that the Indian Govt. waived off the duty on the car, that in my excitement, I kept driving it, driving it, driving it......and in the small cockpit of the car, my elbows got cramped in the hot humid conditions of Mumbai, that it got my first attack of tennis elbow....
Dav: Yeeeaaah? That true? You mean a Ferrari gave you the 'elbow'? Gaawwwsh!!
SRT: One more thing Dav, post the 'elbow', the only rush for me is the F340 at 250kmph and not facing Tait at 150kmph..!!
Dav: Hey Sach...errr sir, you are a cricketer and not an F1 star....you have to limit your speed to 150kmph....!
SRT: No fun, specially since I am using a light bat nowdays. Let me stick to beer and my i-pod and whenever you want me, I will come out and play....after all we are Brothers in Arms, and have to face upto the Sultans of Swing....this is the Walk of Life....(haha all my favourite Dire Straits songs...). Aila, now dont disturb....

Scene I, Act I-What the Dav..il !!
by heaven on Jun 04, 2007 03:24 PM

Dav's coaching stint:

Day one: Sachin sir, Rahul ji, Saurav Da can you please finish your beer and come to the ground we need to help the juniors practice? Its ok, you could first finish the beer, thats important. Ask me I am Australian and beer is safer than water!
SRT: Ai La! I cant waste the beer; and I have to also finish my fav song on the i-pod (Dire straits)
RD: Coming Dav. Just let me finish an urg call with Nagpur.
SG: Keep bolche Dav da? Pls ask the boys not to bowl any short pitched stuff. It will be better if I get hit in a test match, not while practicing! What will my sponsors think?

Dav: OK, ok will ask them to go easy. All you guys need to do is give them catching practise, just hit the ball and ask them to catch or field. I will manage the rest; and Dada, will ask them to bowl overpitched deliveries to you so just come one the front foot, forget backfoot! Nothing will happen. We will watch 'back foot batting' videos, passed by censor board for you to watch and practice mentally, ok?

SRT, RD, SG: Great, now I feel like playing!! Promise us you will treat us to more beers and a nightclub this evening after we put all the boys to bed?

Dav: Ok sirs, done!! Now pleeeeaaassee lets do something on the field sir?? (mutters under his breath!)

Role of a coach
by Blitzkrieg on Jun 04, 2007 03:16 PM  | Hide replies

Many people will argue that a team doesnt need a coach, but its wrong. The role of a coach is to observe for batting deficiencies even if its sachin.A coach can raise the spirit in the camp.whatmore i personally beleive is a good choice. He provided results with srilanka and BD.But im not sure how he will get on with headstrong seniors of India. It will be good if he can work well future players of India after kicking out sachin and Sourav
