For india it doesn't matter whether there is foreign or india coach.You can pick any person from street and make as a coach. At the end senior players will try to influence.

Dav: (running to Zaheer, and whispering) Zak, just bowl some spin mate, till we have the next batsmen. And remember, bowl anything but dont bowl SHORT!! Dada doesnt want to mess up his face before he goes for the new Pepsi advertisement! Zaheer: Ok ok I will remember (muttering again).
SG: Dav da, ask some of the local schoolboys who are playing in the next ground to bowl to me, na? I will get more practice that ways! This Zaheer is not behaving himself! And remember pls ask them to bowl spin so I can practice some of my sixes!! I look good hitting sixes to long on...then maybe I will get the Dabur advt as well...please Dav da please! This shows even after 2 decades winning the word cup India was not able to produce a coach.Hell with BCCI What BCCI acheived is it managed to earn lot of money to its members And to the country ..?? When we are looking for indigenious techs .we still beg for foreign coach.Can any one tell what lacks in India .Cant Indian Seniors players dedicate themselves to become a coach.Only they want to fill their pocket and retire in pleasure shame on you all senior players

I can understand ur frustration but then why dont u step back n give it a thought. Why after all Why are indian seniors (likes of gavaskar shastri etc) not being considered for coaching. There has to be some reason - Probably coz indian senior team players dont prefer them for whatever reason or could be some other reason . Just like every1 else i m at a loss. But BCCI defintely knows what it is doin when they say they need a non-indian coach.
Why can't India have a desi coach and not go after foreigners? Why can't the so called great Gavaskar himself who favours an Indian to take up this position. He is seen often criticising the coach after every defeat. I sincerly hope they permanently rest all the oldies who cannot run and field away from ODI's whoever the coach is. Some tough decisions are required whether it is an Indian or a foreign coach.
One should learn to laugh at oneself sometimes; by the way I am a 'Bong' as well, if I have to have a complex then the rest of my 'kin' also will have the same complex...so chill babe, its not personal. At least, not to get 'Report Abuse' whitewash!! In the end Bong or otherwise, we all all Indians (I hope)
India need desi guru, In India public want win in every series and if india lost then public and old cricket starts beating any guru by words and by burning effigy. I think whatmore could be good but indian people and experts will make him whatmore to nomore from india.

Dav Whatmore scored 2 runs in the only 1 ODI he played By his Test average of 22.53 even his ardent supporter cannot be swayed With 2 fifties in 7 test matches the saving grace are his 13 catches As India's cricket coach he sure appears to be of a paler shade

Now that my friend is typical indian mentality . dont care what the blog is all about just see a chance to market their ideas through any means possible. They dont even think of the consequences i mean if this guy seriously wanted others to watch that sivaji movie he/she would have easily achieved it had this been mentioned in a related blog. But by doing what has beeen done it has only added to frustration to such a point where we decide not to watch this movie at all !

Ya.Mr.Josh.Excellent comparison.Most of the people doesn't know Bhuchnan.He does nothing greatly.But the credit goes to him.Entire Aus.players,captain,mgt and admn team are responsible for the winning.In India also,it has to come like that.

Pranesh, I agree that Bermuda won't perform like the Aussies, but atleast we can assure that they will have the process in place for Bermuda to perform 4-5 years down the line.
