Its high time that tendulkar gets retired. He is handicaped. He plays only for his records. He is not at all a team member. If this continues indian team will be no where. I would like to suggest few more things to improve the indian team for the world cup. Remove tendulkar and sehwag. This will be my prefered combination for world cup Opening-Robin uttappa and Ganguly One down-Laxman Two-Dravid (Give him last chance as captain) Three-Yuvraj Dhoni (Keeper) Agarkar Sreesanth Zaheer khan Anilkumble Harbajan singh Munaf Patel Romesh pawar Dinesh kartik (second keeper) Irfan patan (He is dedicated, give him last chance) Last thing Coach:Mohindar Amarnath (Sack chappel as coach)
I consider myself one of the biggest Sachin fans... But I think his time has come... And after reading most of the messages here, I have no doubt that the thinking community agrees with me.
If Sachin is going to be around, the team management should ask him to go and blast the bowling. Atleast this way he might get better scores then he has been getting for the last 2-3 years.
And finally, to highlight how we make these cricketers GOD. Sunil Gavaskar is a know Sachin lover. He never has and never will say anything critical about him. But I always thought that Ravi Shashtri was more balanced. During the final Test in SA, Pat asked Shashtri if Sachin still trains hard and works on his batting etc. Shashtri replied, "Yes" and went on to said that he can still see the hunger for runs in Sachin. In hindsight, Sachin did not want runs and fu**ked the game up. Had we made 50 runs during that period, it would have been a totally different ball game. Instead of trying to win the match, SA would have been trying to save it.
while we give shock therapy to Saurav and got back him as much better player then why not Sachin, Sehwag. This is basically regional politics. Sachin and Sehwag both has GODFATHERS in India like Lalit Modi, Sharad Powar, Sunny Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Ravi Shastri and the list goes on....
Why can't we put the same benchmark testing for all the players when we showed the door to Ganguly, Laxman and Zaheer. Why can't we say Sachin u go back to domestic circuit score some runs and then come back to India. why can't we?
Except 1998 Sharjah Cup those Semifinal and Final matches did he ever played any match saving innings no never... when it matters most he just put him into shelves always. people will say against Pakistan 2003 world cup ok dude. when Sachin got out India still awaiting more than 100 runs and Mr. Dependable and Yuvraj own that match for us.
Prove me if I am wrong. Sahin became demi god because of over MEDIA HYPE... Mr. Dependable and Ganguly dada started giving him the shock treatment. remember last to last pakistan tour he was playing for his double century and rahul called him back. and Sachin started openly criticising rahul. why is he above the GAME of CRICKET....
any answer..... whenever INDIA lost any match lots of hue and cry.. but we never thought of the people who lead to this type of debacle....

There was no need to send pathan back and include munaf in the last match. Anil kumble.....he shud never be out of the team..he can turn the match and he has a lot of experience.....how can he not been tried..sehwag is over..just let him go...Laxman can be tried on an non-indian wicket....Dravid is a good captain and has the potential to play long innings if required and ganguly is a must for the team.....Jaffar is also worth to be given another chance..no sachin and no sehwag in the team..Shreesath is going great guns....dont drop him...munaf can be as a 12th man...main bowlers, irfan, zaheer and shreesanth....
It is time that we start giving due importance to form and not the past records of the players.Sehwag should be made to bat lower in the order ( who knows he turns out do for India what Gilchrist does for Australia down the order ). Saurav should not be pampered.No matter he has made a decent comeback, but he should perform a lot better. Sachin ( I think nothing can be done to him, he enjoys such a sacrosanct authority that he is the last one to be rested, even if he is playing pathetic cricket !!!) Wake up India, if Aussies can be harsh to their best players, who do not perform,why can't we? Players like Gautam Gambhir and Dinesh Kaarthik need to be played more. Rahul can be excused because i'm sure he's a man of steel who'll put everythin' behind and get down to brass tacks soon, at least for his batting. Last of all John Wright, I have great faith in the man.We must give him space.I know this isn't an Australian team, but if anyone can help build Indian team to that standards, it is John.

I have only one question regarding all these fiasco, Does V.Sehwag has a political backup that he is still in the team. Why we did not pick up G.Gambhir to play in the third test before V.Sehwag. Although G.Gambhir did well in one of the practice match. This is the time to reshuffle otherwise in near future we will not be competing against Australia but Zimbabwe and Ireland.
i guess the writers hardly have any knowledge about cricket. Before commenting like this, I suggest please go to the field and play some decent cricket. then only you can say such words about the little master.

Why don't you show them my friend ?? Show them the example of Shane Warne.He said goodbye at the right time.Our guys are so damn selfish.There are so many who don't get the opportunity because Mr.Tendulkar and Mr.Sehwag get to be in the playing 11 all the time or perhaps they make themselves available for selection every damn time.
Well let us all remember that sachin is not just a good batsman ut also a good bowloer and a fielder. I cannot imagine an Indian team currently withour Sachin Tendulkar.
Whay was he not given enough overs to bowl in the 2nd innings ?
As a most experience player his delivery of 30-40 runs were not at all sufficient. He is expected as a match winner. Unless, he can be rested. India gave more chances to him and he also got enough records for the history. He himself can leave the team and can guide the youngsters.
