You have to blame none but you DK for the wasted opportunities! Pray the almighty to get another opportunity and to do well if u get one. Else, you're sure to be dumped after this tour.
If dravid is made to open then instead you can ask Ganguly also to open. Both are middle order batsman but at least ganguly has opened in one days and supported tendulkar. If we are taking specialist opener that is fine, but if not, Ganguly should open, as he also wanted to bat higher recently. If people argue that he is stroke maker and doesn't have opening technique, that itself is proof that he didnot deserve a place higher than No. 5 and definately not one down which is as good as opener's job, and his utterance that he wanted to bat higher is a political statement or stunt, or self boasting. So one should send him opening or at least one down and see how he performs. If he performs good, if not at least he will not utter like that

Ganguly should open..... dont joke pal. Its opening against Lee and Tait, not a soda opener. DADA WILL BE A SODA OPENER, BUT NOT A TEST OPENER.

I and you know that, but not all. Especially some great blind fans of Ganguly who feel ganguly is greatest of all. So let him open one series and then see whether they can get convinced. Anyway I don't criticise ganguly cricketer, too much because he is a decent performer, but when he talks like I would have scored more hundreds if batter higher up or makes other self boasting comments, it irritates. similary Ganguly's supporters condemning of other players who are better than ganguly and their blaming other players for ganguly's dropping after poor form makes us very sad and creates a hate towards Ganguly.

JUST LIKE U CANT BE THE SACHIN TENDULKAR OR EVEN AKASH CHOPRA,EVERY BODY HAS A FIELD OF SPECIALIZATION. I DONT REMEMBER AUSTRALIA EVER SENDING STEVE WOUGH TO OPEN.. WHY SHOULD ANY SENSIBLE CAPTAIN(SPECIALLY ONE AS MATURED AS KUMBLE) WOULD WANT TO DO THAT?

Lying on Ground = FIGHTING ON EQUAL TERMS. by sanjay on Dec 25, 2007 10:10 AM | Hide replies
pak test scene...
42.3 Shoaib Akhtar to Ganguly, no run, moves outside leg stump, Shoaib sends a slower one on the stumps, tapped to backward point
42.4 Shoaib Akhtar to Ganguly, 1 no ball, Ah! Drama. Ganguly moved outside leg stump and Shoaib followed him with a bouncer and Ganguly ducked and fell over on his backside DADA COUNTING STARS IN BROAD DAY LIGHT.. FIGHTING ON EQUAL TERMS.
42.4 Shoaib Akhtar to Ganguly, OUT, Again he backs away, Shoaib fires in a full pitched delivery on the leg stump, Ganguly misses to connect with his heave and the leg stump is pegged back. Kumble has declared. SC Ganguly b Shoaib Akhtar 46 (58b 4x4 0x6) SR: 79.31

Do you think that the statistics that you have mentioned really looks that funny? SC Ganguly b Shoaib Akhtar 46 (58b 4x4 0x6) SR: 79.31. Do you remember how the stumps of "WALL" Dravid and "LITTLE MASTER" Tendulkar's were blown away by Akhtar's delivery on successive balls? Did you lough that way then also?
He guys! Don't you people think that you people are fighting unnecessarily over the wrong issue just coz some of you are fan of either Tendulkar or Ganguly or Dravid. for me the success of Indian team is important rather than discussing the pity things u people are writting and it should be the synergised effort of each and every member of the team just like Australians and not in the way u people are discussing
dravids average is 74.92 when india wins. he has scored 10 hundreds and 18 fifties in those 37 winning matches he had featured. 3 double hundreds inclusive.
Tendulkar's average after his first 20 innings was only 35.05. Rahul Dravid is averaging 47.03 in his last 20 innings. Dravid's average is 35.09 in his last ten innings. If u people want to drop dravid now, then why was tendulkar allowed to play????????/
RE:Equal Measures
by Starwar on Dec 26, 2007 08:45 AM
Because Dravid is a stinking loser...who spreads negative energy across entire team...this is why Dravid should be dropped when he cannot perform
The statistics like the one which can make you feel comfortable even thought situations isn't exactly. Why nobody thinks there are 11 players in the team, and Gangooly is one of them. No matter who performed or not, the team India must win the series. Comments here only encourages for developing the self glory of the cricketers at the expese of team. If that happens we are responislbe for that. We are the one who encouraged such thoughts. Please don't blame the cricketers. The blame is in ours.

It is interesting to see that only in 2 out 15 hundreds gangooly scored, India won the match. Great!

one against Zimbabwe and second against England where Dada was third one to milk spinners and tired bowlers after Sachin 193 And Dravid 149 who scored big tons did early damage..
Rahul Dravid has best batting statistics among all Indian who played 100 tests. And above that his runs have helped more to the team's cause than anybody else for he is the architect of many away wins for India in last 7-8 years, while others played for themselves in favourable circumstances and also scored their runs against weaker opponents. We should appreciate Gavaskar's records also because he opened the innings and also most his runs came against west Indian fast bowlers. Sachin is third best in test cricket, he is probably best stroke maker India has seen.
Isn't it amazing that such an incapable batsman as Sourav Ganguly has lasted more than ten years in international cricket and scored more than 16,000 runs? Wish we had more like him instead of some of the much more capable duds !!!
