why is your name i dont hate team india...seems to be a misnomer. What is the relevance of this question in the contaxt of this match? Or are u the next Deve Gowda..
saurabh dada keep maximum strike with you and hit four not sixers like kapil dev in 1983 world cup final against zimbabwe india were 5 wickets down for 17 and finaly kapil made 175 not out and india 268 for 9 so do it with anil kumbale (anil hit 100 in england so use that anil confidence to hit pakistan hard please).so good luck dada for 100 runs partnership with anil kumbale, zahir and all 4 wickets remaining just do not hit six and avoid loolypop catches

Dinesh Karthik should come up with a fine knock to day and that can help India to reach 500.
Sourav & Karthik should look for a long partnership.
RE:Ganguly

If a player scores back to back tons, and in good nick, why should we ask him to retire?
It is a game of cricket and what maters at the end of the day is run scored by the player and his contribution to the team.If Sourav can do that regualarly why should he retire?
All of these players like Sachin, Ganguly, Dravid are unique in their own style, & we should not ask them to retire, they are the best judge to take their decision.
RE:Ganguly
by hindublogger on Dec 09, 2007 09:12 AM
Well ..its better the big three starts thinking on those lines ..better to retire when on song rather than being chucked out.I dont want to see these ppl lingering on like Kapil did .Its painful
RE:Ganguly
by Ram on Dec 09, 2007 08:39 AM
It can also be a fresh start to his career, like it was when he scored the 2 consecutive hundreds in his first 2 matches.
RE:Ganguly
by cricketlover on Dec 09, 2007 08:49 AM
I encourage your appreciation. But, why does Ganguly need a fresh start? In fact his good form in willow started again from last year and still continues.
So, we just wish him to continue this batting style which is a perfect blend of maturity & aggression. If he can maintain this, he will score many runs in Australia too.

I don't think it's wrong in anyway to expect your favorites to perform well and especially to praise somebody who has gone through so much criticism and adversity!!! Dude, just want you to know...we like him coz he is a strong part of our community.. and yes we praise other cricketers tooo...lots of them!!

Nope Basu ..you guys are too biased. In these message board I hardly see a bong praising a non bong player.Do I remind you what happend when Sourav was dropped against South Africa?

We respect Lord Ram, but can not show it as he is all the time surrounded by brainy non-monkeys like you. What are you doing here anyway? Don't go and climb up the tree and don't eat banana.

Probably you are too biased against Ganguly. Whatsoever, Kolkata has never stopped praising Laxman, Dravid or Tendulkar for their feats at Eden and other places. I don't know which place you are from, please don't be so biased.

by Girish Rao on Dec 09, 2007 08:58 AM
do you remember how calcutta crowd booed Indian team in 1996 and in the match against South Africa just because Ganguly was dropped? . Do you remember the bandhs and hartals and the discussion in Parliament? I can understand disappointment on the part of bengalees at Ganguly being dropped and removed from captaincy, but what do you call supporting South Africa over India, how can Indians support opposing team over India?

by aliakbar tapiya on Dec 09, 2007 09:38 AM
you stupid ramu dont you remember that you stupid mumbaikars also booed sachin after he failed to score series by series how can you booed him after all mumbaikars believe him as god?
RE:Tyger Dada
by hindublogger on Dec 09, 2007 09:40 AM
No body believes he is god.Mumbaikars appreciate good performances.I wonder what would have happened if Kambli was a bong ..when he was dropped after world cup despite being the second highest run getter.

dear i dont hate...Ram, why don't you just shut up and watch things as they unfold as ordained by Him? Why bring in our beloved God here? You are insincere and brutish. You are not a true believer.
RE:Tyger Dada
by indiafriend on Dec 09, 2007 09:18 AM
Yes, they always did...same place where Gavaskar was booed when Kapil was dropped...I guess they are not from Bengal...or is his name Kapil Deb Mukherjee... But maybe you were in ur diapers when that happened.

Just like Dada I also dont care what youn regionally biased guys say. 60 runs and 4 wickets- Dada and Yuvi rescued the team from there. I dont care what happens in Australia. Today is my my day, I enjoy it and that's all.
RE:Tyger Dada
by cricketlover on Dec 09, 2007 08:53 AM
Do u want to say if players get out early in an easy pitch, they should not be balmed? but if players get out even in an easy wicket who will score for the team?
Tho Ganguly is pln well these days, I would still omit him from Aus tour. You know I respect him a lot for the man that he and he is my role model whenever I am in a tight situation and seem to loose all power of fightin back. But he was uncomfortable with Sohaib Akhtar - even looked clumsy in more than a couple of situations when he was bowling. He is an easy target for Aussis in fast pitches.....
RE:Ganguly
by Shashi Kumar on Dec 09, 2007 09:01 AM
In fact, it was that knock by Dada in Brisbane that set the tone for India's best Down Under tour till date.
RE:Ganguly
by hindublogger on Dec 09, 2007 09:07 AM
Hope you remember the Aus attack in that test.Dont you think this is the weakest pak attack even seen?I admire saurav for his grit and determination. He is a player with limited abilities ..but over came his limitations with these two qualities..
Unnecessary Appendage - Dada haters Try and put them as sumptuous meal. Dada will feed on them. Whosoever is the Captain; Ganguly is the rallying point. He is the real leader. See how a demoralised and losing side comes to life as Ganguly comes in. How Yuvraj and Dhoni drenches him in lemonade shower. So sing in praise of Dada; Other things will automatically follow.

We wish that Ganguly plays some great knocks in Australia too.
But, why should we stop praising him for his responsible knocks so far? Each & evry one should be praised if played superbly.
And it is not like that Ganguly never played good knocks against the Aussies. We all know that he he scored an inspiring century against the Aussies in Australia in the last tour. And remaining indian batsmen were genuinely inspired by that knock and it was a real moral booster. So, we should not think that Ganguly can not play any good innigs against the Aussies.
Fine batting by Yuvraj and Ganguly. But this was after the pitch eased out and against a Pak attack that was substandard except for Sami.Mornin the ball was moving off the pitch, nothing after lunch. So we cannoy gaga over this.It is fine batting nevertheless as they could have got fifties and gone off. But the real trouble will come in Aus.Ganguly will be tested by the bounce. So will Yuvraj.Dravid is currently playing silly accelerating in Tests when he shd drop anchor. So let us hold the powder dry for Aus.

ya...agreed, but please do not be so pessimistic. By the way, I do not think you are John Bosco. Please do not use that name if it is not yours as we have great respect for the saint John Bosco, the founder of the salesian society and Don Bosco schools round the globe.
RE:RE:Re:Fine batting but

He has virtually been an opener in most of the tests ..or how about sourav as he is a opener in ODIs
RE:Re:Fine batting but
by hindublogger on Dec 09, 2007 09:09 AM
Bosco ..rather than batting bowling is going to be a concern for India down under.I dont see any fit bowlers around
