yea u r rite... i dont know..how in australia last time in swinging condition humdity he started with a century...in the series with sua recently had 3 fifties..again shoaib sami he scored 2 hundreds when you so called heroes failed..hm...people forget its not just about playing against the opponents.. when ganguly plays he has, not only the opponents play against him but his own countrymen like you to does it..so you will never uunderstand the presuure he goes thru everytime he goes to bat..i guess its become a habbit of people to talk bad about him no matter wht he does.even though he scored back to back centuries..i guess its like if you talk bad about him..you are in with the fashion..i really feel for him....i guess you should try for indian cricket you might play better...right?

RE:Ganguly
by Ravi Ranjan on Dec 09, 2007 03:35 AM
What matters ultimately is the number of runs. Ganguly is a useful contributor. Dravid has the technique to succeed but currently he is out of form. In Australia or on other juicy pitches, ball will get you one way or the other. So idea is not to play defensively and always look for scoring. That's where Dravid has to improve. Ask Sanjay Manjrekar- he was a technically solid batsman, but unless you dominate the bowlers- you'll get out by that one odd ball.

in recent past Ganguly has been playing well. Sometimes your technique itself is not necessary but how best you can make use of your abilities. Ganguly may not have the same technical abilities but he more than makes up with grit, determination and will power which is equally important. On current form and recent performances he is doing well, so give credit where it is due, rather than talking nonsense about the opposition bowling attack being weak. It was the same bowling attack that everyone faced not just Ganguly

well done yuvraj singh and ganguly
by Atul Desai on Dec 09, 2007 02:37 AM

i am surprised at comments on the board. some one says drop dravid and then next one says no ganguly is bad and all that ....i am gujrati so i am not biased.... i thought ganguly still had game left in him wehn he was pushed out of cricked by chappel and thats what i think of dravid now....i think he is still good....BUT WE GOT TO TALK ABOUT YUVRAJ SINGH.....i wanna know why he has been left out for so long....and't it's not because he hit century this time...it's just he is a such an awesome batsman.....i mean today's score was awesome.....it's one of those scores where you will always remember and specially at a time when we nneeded the help and the style he has ...it was just pure delight watching him.....so we should just put aside differences and enjoy both ganguly and yuvraj's innings......I AM VRY PROUD OF THEM .....GREAT CRICKED.....

Sameer...moron ...stop supporting Dravid blindly...
We should Dravid drop immediately from test team especially to accomodate Yuvraj as Yuvi is in such superb form....

It hardly matters what Dravid scored in Australia last time (2004)...In recent days, the Wall Dravid scores in South Africa and Englandare below-standard...Dravid scored just a single fifty in six tests. Even in current Pak series, his highest score is a single fifty...

Indeed Dravid should now RETIRE as he longer a WALL...this is the truth and truth always hurts for Dravid fans....

Single series failure???? SA,England, now Pak...man, he is lucky to be still there. After 2 failures, Sourav was gone. He did not enjoy this patronage.
But on a serious note...Rahul needs to fire against Australia if not for his fans' sake but for India's sake.

These morons like MAry Kisrten should not be allowed to watch cricket becasue their knowledge of cricket is worse than their one track mind

Sameer...dont make stupid remarks...Ganguly played at no.4 in this test in place of Tendulkar...so he very much faced the new ball like Dravid who played at no.3 position...

However the difference was Ganguly was a success in this match and Dravid was a big FAILURE in front of his partisan home crowd...

MR.Sameer, Rahul did not get out to Shoaib but to Yasir Arafat. If he had got out to Shoaib then your argument would have been valid. He should have stayed at the wicket a little longer and the batting would have become easy instead of trying the upper cut.Agreed Dravid is technically more correct but in recent past Ganguly has been playing well. Sometimes your technique itself is not necessary but how best you can make use of your abilities. Ganguly may not have the same technical abilities but he more than makes up with grit, determination and will power which is equally important. Who is this stupid Ashish ? What does he know about Dravid ? Stop commenting about Dravid's batting. Don't forget that it was because of Dravid that the likes of Tendulkars and Gangulys cold play their natural game. He has got his own place in Indian cricket and lets respect each one of the players for their contributions.... A Cricket lover.

Dont live in past glory of Dravid...the Wall has scored only a couple of fifties in last 3 series (South Africa , England and Pak)spanning 9 test matches...this is below standard performance for no.3 batsman in any team...

Based on current performance Dravid should certainly be DROPPED now and his place given to Yuvraj...

I have high regards for Rahul Dravids batting prowess. However, the matches are won and lost on performance on a given day. Unfortunately, Dravid is not measuring up. Let him take a sabbatical like Saurav Ganguly and come back roaring.
