Vengy insulted

If Vengsarkar has little bit of self-respect still left in him should without making any further statement resign immediately and file a case against BCCI for humiliating him.

The current bunch of unprofessional BCCI officials from Western part of India, first played money and power to take over BCCI - and now they have started it between themselves...they are quite like the crows.

Rules
by Evelyn Abraham on Dec 04, 2007 01:00 PM  | Hide replies

I have one thing to say. When you are working for an organization you follow the rules present. If any of you are working with a company and they ask you not to bring camera mobile phones will you all cry foul. If you do that then you will be thrown out. That is what will happen at the end. So if you are working under an organization then you have to abide by their rules and not cry for everything. This issue has been made into something big which is totally uncalled for. If he cannot abide by the rules then he has to step down.
People don't fight here for Ganguly or Dravid. Be glad that they are both playing for India. We have to support both these players. If we cannot accept someone from our own country there is no use complaining when there is racism in other countries. Try and accept them and be glad that they are playing for our nation.

RE:Rules
by Sandipan Sen on Dec 04, 2007 01:09 PM
But there was no such rules when Vengsarkar joined as the chief selector. BCCI cannot change rules or make new rules after the appointment. It wvs done only to humiliate Vengsarkar, because these polticians know that Vengsarkar is far superior to them and they want to show their might as 'employers'.

true, rules can be applied only if there were certain clauses that expressly mentioned that new rules can be implemented. but someway or the other its the employer who will have the upper hand. employee has rights too, and vengsarkar did it right by fighting it out.

but overall. the loser is bcci - they are forever incompetent, and one lousy bunch.

This shows how politics is attached to BCCI. Any one can imagine how much politics are there in state level also.

Mr Pattanaik, there is politics everywhere. Do you think the selectors, who are former cricketers, are above politics? Some of the selectors too indulge in politics and regionalism sometimes. They want players from their own region to be included whether deserving or not.

Why politicians want to join BCCI? It has money. You can make money. Who thinks about Cricket? cricket is attached with our national feelings. Cricket is not just a game for India, It is representation of our national integration. Why Kapil Dev is again and again humiliated by BCCI? He is the only person who got World Cup for India. Why he is not in selection committe?

Simple, because if Kapil is on the selection committee self-styled cricket bosses of the country (Pawar-Shukla-Niranjan Shah-Manohor-Bindra etc) will not be able to call the shots. These politicians never wanted true great players as selectors. Earlier selectors used to be selected from poor or average players like Borde, More, Pranab Roy, Raju etc. Vengsarkar was the first great player as selector, and look how he has been treated. Now no great player will agree to act as selector, unless these politicians are driven out.

The comedy show which is going on by BCCI and the chief selector is showing the immaturity of there governance.Since last 30 years or so the same and selected bunch of politician industrialist and there chamchas are holding the helm of BCCI.why not they are leaving the veteran cricketers to conduct the affair of cricket in india.they are least bother about cricket and for other sports in india.they want the media attention and money making by this way.

Vengsarkar stay on and be humiliated
by India on Dec 04, 2007 12:39 PM

Vengsrakar now if you stay, every day will be a hell to you. You will be humiliated every day by the other dirtbags like Shah, Shukla, Bindra, Manohar and even your own friend Pawar of BCCI till you finish your term. I hope you stay and suffer the humiliation you gave unto others. Let every day be like hell to you only as long as you are selector.
