Doesn't make sense joining after the Australian tour
by on Dec 05, 2007 08:30 AM  | Hide replies

Australian tour is always a tough tour for any touring team. The Indian team needs all the help it can get on that tour. If ever we needed a coach then it will be for the Australian tour. Kirsten joining after the Australian tour does not give a right indication. Thats too bad.

Kirsten doesnt want to spoil his career as a coach before starting it. He wants to coach Indian team after the Australia tour. Interestingly, if at all he can really add some strength to the side, we needed it in Australia.

I personally feel that all or most of the Mumbaikars (players I mean) have had very bad effects on the team.

Right from Gavaskar to Tendulkar.

Players from other regions never have this clout.

Imagine a Shastri being more recognised than Kapil. Shastri's contribution were mostly in the bed and in the commentary boxes. He will hit sixes and fours in his mouth itself. When he played he would come to the middle of the pitch and make it a dot ball. Now he talks nicely about aggressive scoring. But for champion of champions series his performance has been so pathetic.

People like Kapil, Srikanth, Dravid, Ganguly and the others fade away. Because we always have people like Gavaskar, Vengsarkar, Tendulkar, Agarkar, Uselesskar and Worthlesskar playing in the team and after they retire decide on who gets a chance to play.

Why Firangi
by Asgar Ali on Dec 05, 2007 08:07 AM  | Hide replies

When Our Indian's are doing well do you think that we need one more Firangi? Please don't spoil our Birayani, he does not have much experience as what Sachin, saurav Ganguli or Dravid have. It is not going work out successfully

We must give someone a chance to prove their worth.

Gary should thank Gavaskar
by Mohammed Islamul on Dec 05, 2007 08:04 AM

Its all because of one person who hates the australians so much.

Sunny Gavaskar. Or Sinny Gavaskar ???

Just because he hates them, he didnt even let Dave Whatmore join. Same as Rob Done. Chappel didnt click due to the presence of high profiles in our team like Sachin and Ganguly. Who were unwilling to unlearn and learn a bit again. Remember Michael Clarke, Symonds, Hayden, the Waughs and Langers were all made to unlearn and relearn what they have contributed.

Unfortunately, Dave whatmore, who did a great job with Bangladesh and also Srilanka in taking them through the wc, having worked with the likes of Jayasuriya, Attappattu, Murali and the likes too didnt find a place.

Only because Gavaskar hates the Australians.

Thanks Gavaskar, for having a detrimental influence on the team inspite of your poor acts.
