Why you have unnecessarily wasted year after year without training or choosing talented cricketers.
Now the bloody politics is surfacing after the launch of ICL headed by our former winning captain, Shri. Kapil Dev, Haryana Hurricane.
The good will should have come in 80's itself. So, from all it is concluded that the start of residential academies is not to bring more and more talented cricketers but to threat the ICL.
Stop your politics and prevent farmers committing suicide, bringing your generation into politics.
Competition improves lifes of many. BUT YOU HAVE SHARAD PAWAR at the helm of affairs. Politians are running the show. ONLY 10% WILL FLOW to the benefitiaries. CORRUPT POLITITIANS.

WHY NOW THEY ARE ANNONNCING SUCH PROGRAMMES WHERE THEY WeRE SO MANY YEARS? ARE THEY SLEEPING? or ARE THEY AFRAID OF KAPILS ICL? IF BCCI OFFICIALS HAVE GUTS AND REALLY WANT TO DO SOMETHING FOR CRICKET THEY SHOULD STEP DOWN AND HAND OVER BCCI TO THE CRICKTERS.
BCCI is a such a irresponsible, hopeless, corrupt governing body that many players have turned against it.The fact that BCCI didnt even have a website of its own shows it all.Money is everything with no morals. Selection system is pathetic and biased, leave alone the board politics. Many of the cricketers who deserve some encouragement were ruthlessly troubled by board.so no wonders all these talented cricketers have moved to ICL.Rayudu once led Indian Under 19 team which had Raina, Piyush, and some other players who already got in to Indian team. The HCA politics made life miserable for him and didnt even allowed him to play Duleep trophy from SOuthZone. This move to ICL is a slap on BCCI face who already lost its pride with abyssmal team performances and the drama with the selection of coach. Way to GO ICL, we will support you and the future of Indian cricket. Only god can save the politicians filled BCCI. Shame on u pawar,Gavaskar and Vengsarkar.

and where from this money comes... money aasman se tapakta hai kya....they have marketed the game well so they have money...
Let them spend the money now. We don't care what BCCI does but we do like to see ICL becoming popular. I would like them to play few matches in dist. headquarters aswell as this will help people from small town to get to interact with some of the best known names in cricketing world.
This academy shud in a place where there is severe summer, winter, humid etc & not in Bangalore where the players may not sweat most of the time. That's how the Australians are trained...

Many of these players are victims of board politics and have every right to rebel against BCCI.Players like Raina, parthiv have played under the captaincy of Ambati Rayudu, But what happened to him because of politics in HCA. Indian cricket is always mauled by the cheap politics and regionalism which caused many players to join ICL. This would atleast still BCCI for good. Way to go ICL

Dude, Your comments were OK except for Dhoni, Laxman and Ganguly. All 3 averaged 50.00 in the Tests. Also, Zaheer was excellent in the Tests. In my mind karthik was the player of the series. A converted opener who scored 3 fifties.SUPER.

Most of the names are new. What is the track record of these cricketers and what is the basis of selection ? I hope ICL doesn't become a flow show.

Do you think these corporates who are embracing the ICL are interested in developing the players/cricketers. They just started this to make money. Zee shall be ready to wait atleast 2-3 years for their return on Investment. I think these players have to perform and perform much more than they have had to( if they are with BCCI). Also, there is no guarantee that the people of India will be interested to see an Inzamam playing alongside a Dinesh Mongia. I don't know if people will accept a Foreigner as a Captain. Cricket in India has always seen an emotional string attached to it. It is always an India Vs XYZ country that draws the crowds. I am not against ICL and I am not paid by the BCCI. This is just my personal view. God only knows what will be the future of ICL.

Commmmmon.... we have accepted a foreigner as a super power controlling all our so called great leaders. Even our BCCI president is also controlled by her. What is a big deal in foreign captain.
At last BCCI has awaken to the need to raise talent across the country. Is J&K on the map of India. Long time back they had Razdan. Has he joined Taliban lobbying grenades rather than bowling fast. First knock out the zonal system of selection. Why not Mr. Azad, Mr. Achrekar, such coaches of repute and caliber be selectors.
What does it reflect the administrative acumen of Mr. Jagmohan Dalmiya, or the business acumen of Mr. Subhash Chandra of Zee television. The manipulative acumen of politicians is in flow glow. The world%u2019s largest cricket board cannot even get a coach for nearly six months and is letting the boat drift, does it show any direction. No disrespect to our dear Chandu Chacha. Can he produce results with veteran bowlers like Bombay Duck Ajit Agarkar, Half fit Munaf Patel.
And he goes to Twenty20 World cup as part of his retirement package thinking about Gaurav Ganguly, Salim JAfer to open the batting. Mental alertness of coaches also do matter in any type of competition. Else success also will get stagnated. What are clubs at grassroots associated with BCCI doing currently in talent spotting. Another grand plan to gather votes for BCCI president is going to come up.
