is the future bright??
by ashish capoor on Aug 20, 2007 10:40 PM

sir,
what the country needs is a promise of a better future where all get equal oppertunities to blossom, and better infrastructure, free from the present babu-dom and associations dominated by old rusty and greedy politicians who are good for nothing.
will icl be able to provide this to our future kapil devs and pautadies and gavaskars and tendulkars.
HOPE IT DOES.

regards
ashish capoor

They will play cricket but what are the chances that they will represent the country in the future and how will they play is it a mixed nationality team or each country will have its own team and compete against our country so that the players are exposed to international cricket???

Well Done ICL
by Ramaswamy Anand on Aug 20, 2007 10:11 PM

Cricket standards will improve in India and the players also will get more exposure and more importantly hands on cricket all the time. BCCI come out of your closed minded thinking and let the game grow. Its only a sport and this is for the development of the game of cricket and the way its played in India.... Will ECB stop County and 20-20?? BCCI feels insecure of dilution from a "SUPER POWER" position. All the cricketers who are playing for the country shoudl also join ICL. kudos.... but one request, pls take this forward to a logical conclusion...

too much cricket
by Manjunath Puttaswamy on Aug 20, 2007 09:53 PM  | Hide replies

too much of anything is good for nothing...

can you drink something where sugar or salt is beyond a particular limit....

people are going to lose interest in this game of cricket, if it is done this way

Cricketers need to play cricket. Its their career. So on a daily basis also if they play for pay.. whats wrong?? Even though we tell too much work, wont we do it? After all its what they need as a cricketeer.

If ICL wants to earn recognition..
by Chaman Chambu on Aug 20, 2007 09:38 PM

they should become a democratic body.. it is not fair to have some oldies and marketing gurus up there to create teams..who will be responsible for any selection, if any.

if it becomes a democratic body, i am all up for it..it will revolutionize the way cricket is televised

kapil should push for this reform
