kapil dev is the legend and he is like dream god for we indians who made all indians dream come true by captaining and leading from front and making india world champion and win world cup..i can just wish this great man of india best luck in the endeavour.i hv fullest trust on him and know that watever he will do will be for our countrys interest..BCCI is rubbish as it feels threatened..and it is so full of politics..what the hell politicians do thier in BCCI..they cant run their department well, they r so sefish only getting involved to become millionaire..behti ganga mein hath dhone ki bimaari hai in sabko..hope really it gets a huge challenge from ICL..all the best ICl and kapil and all players involved in it..

BCCI banning players joining ICL
by Prasad Waingankar on Aug 20, 2007 08:15 PM  | Hide replies

What right BCCI have to ban Indian players, who joines ICL. Any Indian national have his right to represent his country, (unless he is convicted in any scam) & IF BCCi want to ban players playing for ICL then why not in same way they ban players playing in english county.

Lets all cricket lovers in India unite together & prevent BCCI from hijacking indian cricket.

I don't understand one thing. When our government can nationalize so many things then why not it nationalize this BCCI also.

as per bcci, team is not representing india and they r above indian laws. may be now v can put forward the case of icl to the govt. and term them as the team representing india, and treat so called indian team of bcci as the dummy team of bcci club.

Good for cricket
by Rohit Rastogi on Aug 20, 2007 08:10 PM

ICL is indeed a good thing to happen for cricket. It will provide rewarding employment to more. Hopefully it will be professionally managed unlike BCCI.

bright future for indian cricket
by mvs raju on Aug 20, 2007 08:07 PM

now we have alternate league ...

i always believe young cricketers should be played along international cricketers...that will boost them immensely without a doubt...unfortunate in india our star cricketers never prepare to play domestic cricket once they are international stars firstly they dont find time secondly they found a time they alot for ads shooting...

an more importantly domestic cricket is not telecated in india ...so really the public doesnt know the standards, from now on with ICL on sceen every cricketer lover
can be a selector...

just imagine when a budding young star sharing same dressing room with some one like mc grath and playing along side klusener..it will change their outlook entire....iam eagerly waiting...

now everyone saying ICL came up with this idea on pure commercial basis iam not bothered at all as long as politics are far away...

Kaplil Daa Jawaab!!

Bcci is the cat which closes its eyes while drinking the milk and thinks no one is watching. They should know that football has reached its zenith in Europe due to the Investors who have spent millions of dollars in building clubs like MANU, Barcelona and AC Milan. Its great to have Essel group follow the example and com up with something like this in CRICKET. Kapil is a honest and sincere person and he is most capable of convincing players to join in. I think this is also Kapil Paaji's way of getting his vengeance against BCCI which has many times given him ill-treatment. ICL rocks!! Go paaji, chak de fatte!!

BCCI should not see ICL as a competitor but as a Club which promotes Cricket in India.

If ICL survives until the Sachin, Saurav and Rahul retire, then it will have a great future for sure!!
If BCCI plays with these 3 guys then it will probaly loose them.
