Karthik misses ton as India cruise !
by cajetan coelho on Aug 13, 2007 04:05 PM

Dinesh Karthik is coming up well in international cricket. He and Wasim Jafar provided some healthy starts in the ongoing series. May he go on and on.

Not a great Innings from Sachin...48 from 132 deliveries is not upto the work as per his potential. Why cant you appreciate Karthik's Brave performance. While everyone is scared to take opening slot he took it and showed great performance still he shud learn to convert into big innings hope he will do that in future

BAD UMPIRING CONTINUES...................High Time Third umpire comes into the play
by RAKESH TOLWALA on Aug 10, 2007 01:47 PM  | Hide replies

The umpiring has been poor through out the series so far. I feel its high time that the third umpire come into play. The LBW descisions through out the series have been a concern and Icc should take up steps to improve on the umpiring decisions.

The decision against Sreesanth must be the first one in FAVOR of India in all of Bucknor's life. He started with the Jonty Rhodes runout in 1992 and has been consistently biased against India.

Why Bucknor? every Umpire on the ICC Panel is against India. Reasons? Power Plays... 1, 2, 3.

1] The Money power: The sheer jelousy of ICC and realetd people towards the Money Power of Indian Cricket.

2] Pawar Power, or rather lack of it: Dalmiya at least used to stand by the Team and actually got his way with ICC. This useless Pawar guy is only playing Politics and not bothered about Cricket or Cricketers at all.

3] The Press Power: The press in India and abroad has always played coy when it comes to supporting Team India. Any number of wrong decisions and atrocities against India Team are tolerated. Bullying and bad behaviour by the likes of Andre Nel is OK. But look at Sreesanth, a bit of gamesmanship and he is being castigated by all and sundry. This is downright pathetic.

These are the reasons for Team India suffering repeated poor Umpiring.
