Leave Sachin alone. I suggest we refrain from writing the great man off. He has a lot more left in him, and his value to the team is mush more than what he contributes with the bat.
Well, folks, to be realistic, it should be curtains for sachin, at least for tests. Of course, Sehwag cannot be dropped since he has not yet reached his peak, but I do believe that he can surely be rested for a couple, maybe a more than a couple, of matches..Let him sit out and do some thinking and realize that in order to be in the team he needs to perform. As for tendulkar, he was great once, he is mediocre now. Even if he does go on to get a century in the second innings, or even a score above 50, and then fails in the next 3 matches, he should still retire from test cricket. If he doesnt then I believe the selectors should take a matters seriously and decide sachin's fate. Wake up chappell, you campaigned for dropping ganguly when ganguly actually performed in a couple of key matches, when other players couldnt read the pitch properly (this time in Pak)...so why is this different treatment meted out to tendulkar???
Sachin is no longer the player he used to be. This is a truth all must accept. He seems unable to negotiate the hard ball, and hence should drop down the order to- say number six-fro a while. This will help him to gain confidence by facing lesser bowlers. About dropping Sachin from the team, the best way is to give him some rest, and never take him back.
Sachin is not in his nick now. That does not mean that he should call it a day. He has all the shots to continue. He is a genious and once he is on track, Wait for the DEMOLITION!!!
It is time Sachin and Sehwag are dropped!! They have been given far too many chances and it is not doing anything good for the morale of all the others waiting to get a chance in the team. Afterall, no single person can be above their country. Sachin has had his time, glory and money and should be dropped for good.
