So much has been talked about the records . Records always going to fall one day. Why Indian,s are more wooried about records. I don,t think so any other cricket playing nations are so much worried about their players breaking records. It is the Indian,s who always plays for records. One should not worry about records. He should see that how many matches our country can win?.
Ponting may score another 21 centuries and Sachin may get another 11 or more, so they may be running close but I expect Sachin to prevail! Bear in mind that Sachin was injured and lost many Tests due to injury. Some people were saying that Ponting was great and Sachin was just good, for these poeple i say, Go and see Sachin one days record, compare it with Ponting then we will see who is really great! An aggregate of 73 one day and Test centures, 24,000 runs!!! Can Ponting, Lara or any other batsman dream of overtaking this? Sachin is the greatest of all time! we should organise more match events with zimbabwe, bangladesh and to some extend the out of form srilanka, kenya where sachin can keep scoring centuries so that no body can beat him and so that we can be proud of an indian who has scored the maximum number of centuries in the workld of cricket.
Sachin\'s record will be broken by Pointing because 1. Pointing uses graphite in his bat - if any Asian player attempt this, they (ICC Goras) will ban the bat 2. Ashoka DeSilva - umpire probably has cost Sachin 3-4 centuries 3. Steve Buckenor - has cost Sachin 5-6 centuries, Stevie is trying to make sure that Lara breaks Sachin record 4. Other umpires - has cost Sachin 3-4 centuries 5. All umpires - has added 7-8 centuries to Pointing\'s century record.
All in all, with neutral umpiring, Sachin can get 40-45 centuries before he retires. This is something that Pointing can only dream of.
Hi Has anyone thought of Sachin as philosopher?In fact if u look at his life/career graph one would understand that sachin truly beleives and endorses thet fact that life is like a tide u can ride a ave but at the end of the wave u gotto take a splash.the splash is over and sachin is all set to ride the next wave.the recently concluded srilanka series is ample testimony to the fact.also it wasnt like olden days when the entire burden was on his shoulders.he realises the fact that the future of indian cricket lies in the likes of sehwag,pathan, yuvraj and harbhajan and he is quite happy and willing to pass the mantle onto others.but we will see may more years of delightful batting from sachin.sure
Ricky Ponting is successful only in his home country i.e. Australia. When Australia will travel to the parts of the world then ponting will not succeed there. The centuries scored by ponting recently are at home. As far as sachin is concerned he will come back with a bang and will reach 40's soon. Good luck sachin for pakistan series and we need 3 centuries from you in 3 tests.

Eventhough we have Ponting, Hyden and Lara... Sachin is special. Why because he has such a mental power and passion to the game. Other above said players are playing the game as their profession, but for the later its his life.
I think you all accept this. All circketers can give a rain of century, but Sachin only can make the climate of centuries.
