Sachin will definitely be beaten
by Nitin Maheshwari on Jan 10, 2006 02:47 PM

Sachin will definitaly be beaten and there is not an iota of doubt in that. Look at his present record ( forgot that he had 11 in last 5 years that's sounds much better than his present form). He seems to struggl for runs. When he starts he dosen't look as if he can get to 50 leave 100. In last one year he has one centuary.
I think in coming 2 years either Ricky martin, Lara or Hayden will take over him.
The speed at which Ricky is going ( 2 centuries in a test ) even two years is an understatement.

Yes may be ricky ponting

Yes may be Ricky pointing will be the man who can broke the sachin's record.

But if you look only statistics it is unfair to underestimate sachin.

In last 5 years how many matches sachin had played and how many Ricky pointing had play u will find Ricky pointing played more matches again in last 5 yrs sachin has face many injuries.

If sachin would have played same matches like pointing had played then the statics will match then u cay pointing is the better then sachin.no doubht he is one of the best batsman in the world.

our cricket control board are more focusing one days then test match then how can he play more test matches.

And the most important issue is we have lots of expectation with sachin then the pointing to handle big burden what sachin is handling and fullfilling expectation of our people is more difficut.what pointing is facing more burden then sachin no way he doesnt have that much pressure then what sachin has. now a day that all boys are firing but remember those day when sachin has to fire other vise we loose.
Australia everybody is knowing their responsibility then Indian cricketer and that is more important to put down your best player pressure

A Big Question Mark
by Roshan Karan Srivastav on Jan 10, 2006 01:41 PM

We have a master blaster, we have our own generation Don Bradman, We have our own pride who takes care of pressure of millions of people on a single shoulder.... do you think, the one who are appraoching his records match his credibility... do you think, are they comparable at all... may be they are quick but not the same as the situation in which our Sachin got them......What makes him different from others is the ability to handle the pressure and hurdles, i bet any one could have done that... The point i would like to birng out here is " Who Cares" of being eclipsed when we have a legend of the legends "Sachin Tendulkar".

Sachin's record

In Cricket it is ever unwise to judge in advance the better of the two.
There is no rule of thumb as such. It depends on such factors, among others as the player's current form, the opposition he is playing against and physical fitness.

Surpassing Sachin
by Pranay on Jan 10, 2006 01:25 PM

Of all the players mentioned, Jacques Kallis has the best chance. He is only 29 and has a good six years left in him. He will be willing to give up bowling for batting greatness. His style of play means that he will bat for long periods and score for himself not looking at the team position. He is a wonderfully gifted batsman also who has not got his due yet. Once he gets set, it is very difficult to get him out. He can also destroy an attack if he wants to. The only player who is like him is Dravid, but Dravid does not have the stamina to make so many centuries.

Sachin is going to go a long way
by Vivek on Jan 10, 2006 01:21 PM

For people writing the little master off, please look into his career graph..he has devastated the opposition singlehandedly on many occassions giving bowlers like Shane Warne nightmares.Agred that the last 5 years didnt see much of Sachin but that could be attributed to injuries.Otherwsie he has been exceptionally good.Look at the timeframe of his career..players like Lara and Ponting cannot even last that long let it be breaking the record. Its just a matter of time before Sachin eclipses Steve Waugh's record and sets his own which could probably be beaten only by another Sachin Tendulkar.

The Three People Who Can Eclipse His Record

01.Sachin
02.Sachin
