about sachin tendulkar

i think the time has come to take retirement for tendulkar from the international cricket though the media has hyped him much. its time to check himself whether he deserves to have a place in Indian team next to ganguly and media should stop hyping about tendulkar. let youngsters(like Dhoni) get chance.

Tendulkar is National Disaster. He never plays when team needs. Tendulkar's career end is fast approaching.

Tendulkar should retire
by Manuel Vaz on Feb 02, 2006 04:09 PM

Yes, definitely, Tendulkar is past his prime and should consider retirement. For the past so many tests, he has failed miserably, and now he should vacate his place for a young player.

Tendulkar

It was an unpardonable act by the Indian Batsman. Having put Pakistan for 39/6,they should've bowled them out within 150. Moreover, lack of strategy was one of the major factor for the defeat. There was no right arm paceman(Agarkar, for that matter). Two of the specialist openers Jafar and Gambhir were left out in the dressing room. Coming to Tendulkar, he must leave as soon as possible, to save himself from the humiliation which Ganguly faced. Its pity that a player like Ganguly, who is trying to show his mettle and has been left out of the One Day Squad and Tendulkar, having been a non-performer is still in the team.

TENDULKAR FINISHED
by SAUMITRA on Feb 02, 2006 04:04 PM

Sure he is.Though no one dares to say in front of him. After 30s,Aussies & West Indians can continue because of their physique.Bring new blood like Raina. Also sack Greg Chappell because under his scheme, Pathan has lost speed.Don\'t make Saurabh scapegoat again, because he played like a fighter in both innings.

Tendulkar - Endulakar?
by R. N. Bose on Feb 02, 2006 04:00 PM

I have been saying the same thing in this columns at least for the last one year - since the 'tennis elbow' thing: that Tendulkar is no more the match winner that he once was. He is no more confident about his stroke play. No more able to deliver the goods when required by the team. Of late, he has been simply an accumulator of records but only at his own convenince. Strangely, he has been treated as a holy cow, far above criticisms, never to be spoken ill about - by all including the (in)famous 'under-arm bowling' Greg Chappell.Seeing Tendulkar falling on his knees, bowled all ends up, was the most pathetic and the most telling sign of the times.

Tendulkar should NOT have been included in the ensuing one-day series against Pakistan.

Is this really the END-ulkar episode.
by Suresh on Feb 02, 2006 03:59 PM

I think, once he being the national idol, a person praised lot by the media, and hailed by the supporters. Now what should we think of him, rather the Board of Selectors should think of Tendulkar and the new team for the World Cup 2007.It is high time that even the corporate offices should think of the products he endorses for, or it might be an END-ulkar product.
