We have the longest tail...
by N Krishnan on Feb 02, 2006 09:47 PM

and it starts with Sehwag. Hee... Hee...

I hope the batting collapses every match so that we stop being obsessed about this incapable, filthy rich, undeservingly popular team and focus (read channel our money) on other under-funded sports programs. We still have to win a Gold medal in Olympics since 1980 and there are sprinters from Kerala who still have to work in banks to pay their bills. If a well-achieved youngster like Kutraleesawarn has to quit his Sports career and go to USA to do Ph.D., we, as a nation, need to rethink how over-appreciated this bunch of cricketers are.

endulakar

NO, tendulkar is not at the begining of his end. neither is Ganguly. If at all the begining of the end, it should be of Chappel. And Rahul dravid was hopless in his captaincy.. his body movements showed nothing encouraging or taking the fight to the other end.. If ganguly were to be in his place he would certainly had displayed his abilities, strategies and fought till the end... Dravid gave in meekly.
So, if any one is to be removed, it should be Chappel, Dravid from captaincy.. he is a good player.
reinstate ganguly as captain. continue tendulkar.
see the team winning.

time to let go !
by ssr on Feb 02, 2006 08:01 PM

it's time for our past champions - sachin & saurav - to be relieved of their national caps...they've served the nation well, it's now time for them to retire.

and as for a couple of others , like agarkar & zaheer, enough chances haven't been sufficient for them, it's time that they were sacked...period.

not opened the innings by rahul dravid
by santosh routray on Feb 02, 2006 06:45 PM

bcoz of we have already 2 to 3 specialist openers then why should rahul dravid is going for opening?

if he will go for opening then why the selectors are selecting the specialist openers and in the mean time they are not playing, sitting in dressing room?

they should play for india consistantlyin their place and if he failed then what happened?try for 2-3 series.

i never seen rahul dravid is opening for his ranji team, also laxman ?

onething is that if you r selecting sourav ganguly then why not u r trying him for opening?ohhhh, sorry you are just selecting him bcoz kolkata people will happy? and he will not playing in the matches? thats good.

one thing more abt greg chhpal(i know he is chappel)

experiment is good for indian team but dont applying in the serious matches where india's people are hurt?

best of luck to indian cricket team for the england series. we all know if you are playing to ur potential then no one can defeat you at any moment.

all the best.

Give Tendulkar another chance
by Gouse on Feb 02, 2006 06:39 PM

It is sad to be so harsh to the master blaster, but it is true that he should be given one last chance to strike form and perform his normal self.

DROP SEHWAG. He is no good. Occasional blossom is not good enough for Indian team.

DROP TENDULKAR. He had enough. Should retire on his own.

Tendulkar: Leave Now , Leave Gracefully.
by rajesh malhotra on Feb 02, 2006 05:59 PM

Dear Sir,

Though its rare to see Indian cricketers quit when they should and are often forced to leave, one expects that a living legend like Tendulkar will break the norm and exit gracefully.

I personally feel that though he has been the Grand master of the game,he unfortunately will also be remembered as some one who rarely stood up to the challenge, when it was required the most. We have all seen this umpteen number of times, that whenever team India is in crisis Tendulkar gets out meekly.

I think this has been going on for long now & its high time he vacates the place for a more talented and more deservant player. Whether he does it or not only time will tell, but should he choose to drag on like other former Indian player's, his criticism will only increase manyfold.

Regards
Rajesh Malhotra

Expulsion of Little Master
by SuhasPatil on Feb 02, 2006 05:15 PM

The board management should decide of the fate of Tendulkar. After all the loss of match means the loss of pride of nation. He should be fired off.Other players should get the entry in lieu of him.He is really a liability of team. His bat never clicks when the urgency has come. This is true.

Sachin should be dropped
by arjun on Feb 02, 2006 05:08 PM

As great a player as Sachin is I think he should be dropped, I think he has lost his motivation to play cricket, dropping him from the national team might get his motivation back

Performance of Tendulkar
by T.Gopalakrishnan on Feb 02, 2006 04:54 PM

One has to remember that Tendulkar is playing after a break. Also If you notice that the bowlers are aiming to bowl at the hip or the elbow during the current and Srilankan seies.Dont come to conclusion that it is an end of Tendulkar carrier. He will definitely come back and prove his genius. I request all to keep silence on this issue.
