regarding sachin tendulkar
by dharamrajshukla on Feb 02, 2006 04:50 PM

hi

my name is dharamraj shukla and i am a hard core cricket fanatic.i read ur article regarding tendulkars failure .i think so some of the indian print and electronic media are so selfish thatjust to sell their articles they can defame any personality may whatever be his caliber no matter how much he has done for ur country.this is seriously very strange of people passing their pathetic views about the great man sachin tendulkar while sitting in to their air conditioned offices knowing anything about cricket and its legend.if saurav ganguly or other batsmen scores 30 or 40 runs in each inings then the media says what fighting knock by saurav ganguly and the whole of calcutta makes so muchshouting about it and mind u those 30 or 40 runs also came in after 2 struggling year with the bat.he was out of form for two consecutive years he was only there because he was a captain of indian team.as far as i remember saurav had only struck acentury last year that to againsta small team likezimbabwe against whom even player like harbhajan singh also can get his century.sachin dont worry we the real cricket lovers know what potential u have and what u can do.all the best.

I dont think we should it call it as a beginning to end of tendulkar era.
I am surprised on how can we question his abilities based on last 3 innings of which 2 were unlucky dismissals..(he wasnt out @ faislabad and karachi 2nd inn was coz of bad pitch)..
many people mite ask how many victories have v got when tendulka plays well?however v forget that 2 those he is the sole person driving with no ones support.
in contrast dravid led success are more but we cant forget the support he received from laxman...

For the past couple of years Tendulkar's innings has started coming to an end .He has been pampered a lot & is lucky to be from Mumbai which controls BCCI.Moreover unlike Ganguly he has been a quiet operator & like Film star wudn't like to give up especially with lots of advt behind him.Read between the lines as quoted by Greg chappel earlier"Tendulkar is of great moral support to te Team" & this was told much before Sri Lanka series

I think Tendulkar does not seem to be in his element and every one knows the cause that is his elbow surgery! He should get good match practice and probably a season at English County can determine if he can come good again.

He is a rare breed and let him go aty 32 years of age when likes of Lara are still around at 36 years would be injsutice to Cricket!!

Please recall Lara's several failures and oards poilcy of persisting with him inspite of his indisicpline! At least Tendulkar is very discplined and will give up if he has too

weakness against pace bowling??
by ranveer on Feb 02, 2006 04:34 PM

tendulkar has a weakness against pace-bowling???that is indeed a very bold statement.its not that tendulkar has not been performing well of late.who wouldnt be a bit shaken up if a shoaib akhtar bouncer hit u on your helmet? he has not had many chances to bat in this series. we need to be patient with tendulkar.we cannot expect him to perform in every single match.hes getting runs consistently and in three falied innings, people have begun to write him off.maybe if he had the chance to bat in the 1st test the series would have been different for him, confidence matters, not your past record.not that i'm saying dravid is bad but, most of the indian batsmen failed in the 3rd test. dravid, with two centuries, sehwag with a double hundred, what happened to them.also pakistans bowling was better than ours. they were more disciplined and focused on line and length.i feel that indias bowlers became too over confident after the 1st innings. how was pakistan able to bowl us out and we let them score 600?? thier bowlers were better. we cant blame this on tendulkar, its true what dravid said, the new ball did us in,its not the mistake of one particular batsman.ruthlessness lacks in our bowling

Tendulkar shoud set an example by himself
by N K Raghunathan Nair on Feb 02, 2006 04:28 PM

I think it is high time that Tendulkar end up his boots gracefully before being asked to leave. Enough is enough & we have to move forward and past is past. He can't continue in the team at the cost of aspiring youngsters simply because of his past records.

Now it is time for him to say good bye to the international game since there are so many youngsters are in the queue to get a chance to show their talent.

Hope, better sense prevails !!!

Is he a Match Winner ?
by Mohit Vajpayee on Feb 02, 2006 04:25 PM

I think its not a first time when Sachin failed to perform in a situation demanding some runs from his bat. Its okay that he holds some unmatchable batting records but try to have a look on his records in deciding matches. He never performed when team is under pressure.

This is one supporting example for all time criticism Indians have faced that "Indian Players lack team spirit and they play only for their records".

"Team India" is just a tag used merely for commercial adds.

I think BCCI should sack players like Sachin once to teach him a lesson. Youngsters should be brought up & this will strenghten the team's future.

Indian cricketers
by T.P. Viswanathan on Feb 02, 2006 04:23 PM

Why sigle out Tendulkar. Every senior player should hang his head in shame for the kid like performance. BCCI should reverse its decision on paying cricketers on a graded scale.

It is nothing but an abject / meek surrender, unbecoming of an international team.
