Sachin Tendulkar

Peoples are trying to digest the defeat on the hands of Pak on expense of Sachin. It would not be a good idea to curse our own hero for failure of entire team

Tendulkar under fire after loss

Tendulkar will gain form and will be back with a bang. He is too good to be tied down for long. Moin Khan should probably look back at his own performances/record before commenting on Tendulkar's performance.

Greedy Man.
by Kaunain Shahidi on Feb 03, 2006 02:28 AM

It seems Tendulkar only likes making money by his bat. It seems he is contended now. He must take retirement if he is not a greedy man, his hunger for runs seems to be over.

Ganguly played better than tendulkar
by Suresh on Feb 03, 2006 01:56 AM

Ganguly showed more character and determination than Tendulkar. No one can deny this. Though Ganguly did not make big scores, his 34 and 39 was vital partnerships with yuvraj

End of tend
by piyush on Feb 02, 2006 11:53 PM

yes i personally am a great fan of tendulkar, but it appears he looks rusty at times failing to negotiate the pace bowlers.hence for the betterment of Indian cricket he should rest perhaps for 6 months and then look if he is recharged thereafter.

Endulkar indeed!
by Dr. S. Skanda on Feb 02, 2006 10:11 PM

We Indians are blind to facts and let emotions rule the roost. we had ajit wadekar saying in an earlier column that"even sachin was in danger..."etc. Now, if we notice sachins innings very closely, he still has a healthy average every annum. how is that? simple...dont play anything significant, make a couple of huge hundreds in useless matches and voila! friends let us wake up. he too ( much as i hate to say it ) is becoming a passenger in this current indian team. situation is like this - no dravid, no sehwag, little bit of say pathan or dhoni = no indian team. ganguly has surprised with his tenacity and needs to be admired. yuvi i think has sealed his critics. and how many times has sachin played match saving innings ( compare a la brian lara or say a mike atherton or steve waugh ). about time he is held accountable and removed from the indian pedestal. i am sure that once i air these views, a lot of sachin pseudofans will slash knives at me. fine friends, see his average in the last two test series yourselves. would we have allowed a youngster to get away with this? isnt it time he is held accountable? i think its abt time he answered and answered big time with his bat!
