why aren't u in hurry for the coach.. do you want to wait till the last moment and face the same situation as before.... if you are serving indian cricket properly then why don't you hire a coach in profesional manner and why dont you listen (rather act) to ex-cricketer's suggestions regarding improvement of infrastructure at domestic level... its fine that you cant recognize ICL but why dont you hire 2 big players for each ranaji team so that our young players can take some tips from them........i know state associations should do that but why dont you help them with some money to get two players each for their teams....... BCCI being richest board/club in world, why cant you hire support staff like England they have bowling coach like Allan donald, batting like andy flower, then head coach etc.... we have just hired Venktesh prasad and robin singh what about batting coach/or head coach...... venktesh is doing great job i agree but we should hire one very experienced bowling coach and let venktesh work as assistant bowling coach for 2 years and then you can give venktesh full charge.... as we need to work on bowlers...... thats why we should have two coaches for that one venktesh and one like Donald, McGrath, Wasim Akram,Walsh or any great bowler ( i know great player dont always become great coaches but great bowlers can definitely teach lot to youngesters)......... dont you see what happened to Irfan Pathan, munaf patel...... i hope we dont lose sree and RP

why blame chappel?
by SANJAY SHARMA on Dec 15, 2006 05:08 PM

Hi,

Mr. Shah is defending him rightly, because he was appointed to apply discipline in Team India,as we see in Australian Team, when they are in field. He is a master of his job, otherwise there are so many talented ex- cricket pundits in India for this post. But BCCI could not find any Indian coach capable to tell big guns in Team India about discipline, which was the need of that time for preparing fresh legs for next WC-07.

Look discipline is key for getting success in any game or every aspect of life. So, All reactions/criticisms are useless. Truly, we people are not discipline shabby, so reacting on his every move so sharply. Sourabh Ganguly's come back has proved this, he was dropped for his discipline not for his performance as a captain and he is now back in team, not for his performance but showing commitment to discipline.

So, try to understand value of discipline. Now all players are looking committed to their coach's plan/idea. Believe in Team India's management and wait for good cricket. Always remeber "Class always prevails and forms is just a matter of time". We have enough talented player as well as coach.

With Regards

SANJAY

Whatever
Wish I had this job
by Whatever on Dec 15, 2006 12:26 PM

Would be wonderful to have a job where I am paid for doing my research and do all my testing to see how I can make a successful team and use that information (also along the way expose the weakness of the team I am supposed to improve) for my personal benefit.

Chappel you are one lucky man to have the such kind of a position to make your agenda fullfilled.
