complacency on part of Saurav & Dalmia has landed them in this spot. when in helm they brought Kiran more as Chief selector and again Saurav missed some of the mathches last but not the least advocated Chappel to be next coach. Chappel & More played their tricks like slow poision and landed Indian cricket in this state . Loosing in South Africa is nothing new but witout any resistance or significant performance hurts most
Learn the lesson Saurav move each bit with caution
Leaving aside the emotional issues of giving a one-way ticket or bringing back Ganguly as captain, objectively speaking, Chappell should play an active part in sacking Sehwag, Kaif and other non-performers if he is to accredit himself as one not in favour of favouritism and historical data feed, and keep the same yardstick as applied to Ganguly for making a comeback. We are so much used to non-accountability in these things, we resort to history always.
RE:How can you blame Chappell...!!

Dear friend, You have missed one specisl name in your list of non-performers: That is Sachin Tendulkar. Please Check his statistics for 2006. Shewag at least scored three half-centuries (2 against WI, one against Aussies).
Sorry. We are left with no option. We cannot let Chappel loose. How can we protect our own black sheep, if we do not have a foreigner for a scape goat?
the question of chapell to go or not does not have any substance. For, any other coach with any other combination would not make the result any different other than this. Because, the boys to perform more or less equivalent to any other competitve team at that level should first be taken through paces of such formidable attack and such formidable line up for bowlers at a regular interval at the domestic level. the science is practice maketh man perfect. Take out the few days of camp before departure , we stand virtually at the mercy of the bowlers when we start playing the series. so, let's us understand that more than players the administrators need to take blame for organsing the most popular game without any purposeful vision. Cricket is no different from our politics, which are meant for serving the present purpose ignoring the larger canvas,
Chappel had achieved some toughness in the team. But what was gained in definition was lost in brilliancy. He went too far.He spoiled a good bowler,Irfan, and made him into a batsman. Now he is neither this or that.If he was bowler he would have done his best like Kumble & Srinath as batman.Under fast bowlers in foreign pitch you require tall and tough openers.Tendulkar should have been brought down.Shewag does not have a position in the team.2 youngsters shuld have been groomed as openers.By interfering in Captain's area the coach and selector have together completely spoiled the confidence of captain and team.Dhoni has the potential of an opener like Srikanth.Try him as opener. At least he will not score sigle digit like the present openers.Tendulkar shld not open as he is short and he hasa constriction on the shoulders we should understand.Ganguly can be taken but he has to keep his head weight in Kolkotta and come.Try Gambir & Dhoni as openers and stick to it.Let Tendulkar come one down Ganguly 2down Dravid 3down.DO NOT DISTURB THE BOWLERS.Rotate the bowlers in matches so all take chance & rest.Important thing.PRESENT TEAM IS NOT DOING ANY EXERCISE TO TOUGHEN THE LIGAMENTS
We have given a bunch of talented players to a brilliant cricketer, appointed as COACH to perform. Now they cannot perform. It is the responsibility of the coach to rectify the defect of these talented cricketers. If it does not work, there has to be something wrong with the coach, who is paid to coach these talented bunch of cricketers.
Yeah You Are Right. We cannot blame Chappel. That means Chappel has nothing to do with team's poor performance. That means a coach is not accountable for a team's continuous failure, which implies a coach doesn't have any role to play in the team. Then why is India paying up so much money for a coach. A coach is not at all required. Isn't it?
