Pakistanis are cheats
by Suman on Aug 27, 2006 11:57 AM

Pakistanis have a long history of cheating and ball tampering. There own players and confessed to tampering including Imran Khan who is making a big noise now. India should not support the cheats in any capacity.

Racism ??
by indianne on Aug 27, 2006 11:17 AM

We (particularly in India) are so specialized in Casteism, Communalism, minority appeasement quota etc. for our survival. However, being intelligent and sharp that we are, we realize that these do not sell outside our borders or the subcontinent. Therefore the sudden discovery of the word 'racialism'. By raking up the dirty word, can we really be the best in this sport ???

Take a look at the recently concluded world cup football. How many red cards, wrong decisions, which players and teams just had to swallow for the sake of the game. Inzy would have done well to go on win the game and later hit back at the decision.

ball tampering issue
by kiran on Aug 27, 2006 10:05 AM

behaviour of ICC is little bad in this issue.they are not supposed to ask hair to resign from his duties.in cricket these things will happen ofenly,so ICC shouldnt proceed like this.

when the ball was changed and five runs were penalised why was the team quit then they played upto tea and then thought of a protest or did they think if they do not protest the world will think they are cheats, they should have walked out when the ball was changed

Pakistan - Cheaters Once, Cheaters Forever
by Karthik Sriram on Aug 27, 2006 03:25 AM

Pakistan have a long history of cheating in cricket. Imran Khan and Sarfraz Nawaz were big time ball scruffers. Afridi and Akthar are the biggest chuckers after Muralitharan in contemporary cricket and who can forget ganguly's dismissal in the Chennai test (the epic match where Sachin scored a hundred), where Pakistan keeper appealed for an "one pitch" catch and got it too?

If youa sk me Pakistan should be relegated to non test playing status and they should be made to learn what fair play is all about.

Inzy is at fault - Ban him for not coming out after Tea (not for ball tampering)
by Datta on Aug 26, 2006 09:06 PM

Inzy is a very weak leader when it comes to being the face of Pakisthan cricket team. He has handled the situation very bady, if he had the guts (and ofcourse the brains) he should have made the protest in a very composed way. I am not happy with the way Hair handled the situation and he might have been racist, but I would blame Inzy more. I am sure that he might not be unaware of the rules (ICC should transalate the rule book in local languages for people like Inzy)and hence had to wait till tea to speak to people and gather information about his rights as a captain.

Thanks god our cricket team doesnt have such stupid captain.

Inzy's HAIR
by Abdul Waheed on Aug 26, 2006 08:41 PM

Dear all,
I saw the complete drama on Foxsports,(middleeast) The point were pak went wrong was not coming on to the field, and this was mentioned by many senior cricketers, and The point were Hair went wrong was after the Cook's wicket the ball was in his hand, and he could've taken the decision at that time itself. and noone can tamper the ball within 3 Overs time, This matter only requires "CommenSense" from both parties. I hope nobody should be punished. Cheers

Pakistan's Dissent
by Nagarjun on Aug 26, 2006 06:00 PM

I think Pak made a mistake by protesting and forfeiting the match. They should have completed the match and then should have lodged an official complaint to the ICC... Indians did this when Sachin Tendulkar was accussed of tampering with ball when India had toured South Africa in 2001...
