i think cricket lover of india, should forget all that happened in last fortnight. analyst should think that there is a tough season ahead....and thier comment (chappel...leaving to australia) will harm indian cricket instead of any gain....
Indian Cricket has never been so low now inspite of the defeats we have had in the past. We, Indians, should not rejoice at the present state of Indian Cricket but think in all seriousness how to resurrect and put on a high standard, both moral and performance. Towards that end, the first objective would be rid the Board of Control of members who are businessmen/politicians and have not played the game of cricket, either for the country or the state. The reason for this is simple. Members with business instinct would look to their personal interest more than the game. If any member of the Board who fails to qualify himself and tries to promote himself to be the member of the Board then his path can be blocked by laying down stringent conditions of admission. Apart from playing skills, the other aspect is character. Good character draws good thoughts and feelings. The opposite gives exactly opposite results, which would be detrimental to the game and the glory to the nation. In the present murky atmosphere it is better to wash the dirty linen now and give the best and clean path to the coming generations for better future. P.S.Rao

Everyone is talking about Chappel's credentials as a test batsman and captain. I am confused now..have we contracted him to play or captain our country? What is important is to know his credentials as a coach. What has been his record as a coach with South Australia? Finishing last in 4 years out of 5 years as coach. compare this with Ganguly's record as captain in ODIs and Tests. If at all one of them should go or should have gone, it is Mr. Greg Chappel.

Well, yes, Greg is a liar. Otherwise why would he lie even on one point? . Don't you see the simplicity of this power struggle? Why do we need greg? What is his experience? Why are we having so much trust that an inexperienced coach will win us the world cup? And that too at the expense of an experience captain? Think, Arvind. You are a matured person. See how corporate India behaves. Disputes are not solved like this. . Also, Ganguly has been underperforming for quite some time. Why is this hue and cry being made now? Only because a failed coach wants to gain prominence with a mail on problems he could not solve. . He also accused Wright of sitting quiet. On his part, Wright has denied this in a matured manner without writing mails to anybody. . Indian cricket will pay because it is trusting a foreigner and forein practices so much. Chappel should have been sacked. The board did not have the guts to do it. Yes, Indian cricket will suffer.
Hi Arvind, I cannot believe that you are suggesting Chappel to go back. Dude we have lost last 19 finals and I am pretty much sure would keep on losing if we continue to play the way we are. I am myself a great fan of Ganguly but enough is enough. We cannot afford to have only captain who cannot bat. We have not acheived anything great in recent history and might take chance with Chappel than continue with what is currently going on. I think you should analyze things better before you write articles or take rest of you pay check and leave rediff for good.
Thatz absolutely right. I think, we should file a case in SC to dissolve BCCI and conduct an enquiry to those "Reviewing Committee". Ganguly deserves to be sacked along with those members.
