the board will play politics .the team which will go to world cup will be a product of politics ,intrigues,. the boad should have taken a firm step and allowed greg chappell to continue. one thing is for sure ganguly does not deserve to lead a world class team any more . let him live in the past glory and dance in the tv ads . (i hope media is kind enough ) if greg is found unfit, let us sack him also. the loyalty should only be to teams performance in World Cup . Let us offer jagmohan Dalmiya a MLA seat from Bihar . He should get elected un opposed. The Pm can make him governor in place of buta singh . he will play the intrigues game equally well .Let us get Kalmady to head the cricket board for two years. We only require some action from Sports Minister . Who is he ? Can we have a determined effort for the world cup.
Ganguly scored the century on that day was solely because of Greg Chappel, who ignited him to perform. Had greg chappel not talked the way he had done Ganguly would have been out giving a regulation catch in the slip defending a short pitched delivery for a paltry score. Ganguly's timing of airing his views aftermath his century against mediocre bowling doesnot add to his strength but only reveals that he has something to prove which unfortunately not his sucess but somebody else.
Exactly as you predicted six wise men did nothing. sourav enjoys very strong support from dalmiya.he can still continue all faking..and doing all nonsense whatever he was doing.the loser is cricket and the the public...shame guys.
Honestly speaking both are to be blamed. Both showed tendency to open their mouth in front of media who are eager to isrepresent fact with twist. They are now bend upon projecting Ganguly as evil effect on the team.It will surprise them to know that even Rahul Dravid is going to support the Captain if asked for such openion and both Mr Gavaskar and Shastri are in the know of it.Rahul feels that what ever might be the merit coach did not show decency in dealing with the Captain of a nation like India.
Nicely put and the forecast of the meeting outcome turned out to be 100% accurate. Don't u think rediff could have used the space wasted on this topic for something better and more useful. What a shame that a nation of over 1 billion people cannot reign its cricket officials! I feel the media should take the lead by ignoring coverage of cricket and cricketers and start promoting our national game or tennis or something similar.
I don't think BCCI will sack either Ganguly or Chappell though the former deserves to go! But BCCI bureaucracy wil definitely kill Indian cricket one day!
