Hello every body. I agree that ganguly was not playing that great and finding a place for him in the current team is quite difficult actualy, but he was really unfortunate to see such a good player of his time to be expelled in this manner. He surely deserves a better treatment. And mind you his career is still not over yet. It is really very sad on part of us(Indian fans). WE PRAISE AND CRITISICE THINGHS A BIT TOO FAST. Secondly, It was obviously wrong on the part of calcutta fans to behave in such a manner. But finally the most important thing I would like to say is that we should not tolerate such behaviour from a foreigner in our own country and against our own crowd.ITS RIDICULOUS. Shame on people who are not critisicing it and also on those responsible people in BCCI who turn are turning a blind eye to it and not taking any actions!!! When will we grow up and be a bit more patriotic!!we Indians
if its me, i will show it in both hands. the kolkata fans are bad in there part the bring disgrace to India as it happened in world cup 1996 semifinal against india and srilanka.
If it was someone well known in Cricket history we can weigh their comments...these 2 Kirti Azad and Ashok Malhotra, whats their contribution? First put urself in that place and at least Chap did only that much...!!!

dudes ...
Looks like none of u guys knw anything abt the domestic level of cricket in india. For your information, Ashok Malhotra is one of leadin scorers in Indias domestic circuits and most technically correct batsmen close to Sunil Gavaskar. Its just bad luck tht he dint play long for india.

Actually Ashok Malhotra did play for India. His debut was against England in Chennai in the year 1981/82. DNB - I inn, 31 in 2nd inn.
Picked to play for the country on excellent domestic performances, Malhotra did nothing in his first few Tests and was discarded. Back in the squad against West Indies at home in 1983-84, Malhotra fared better with scores of 32, 72*, 20 and 30 and was dropped again. He played again in one Test against England in 1984-85. He however made over 7000 runs in domestic cricket, and with Raman Lamba contributed to the idea that domestic pitches in India hugely favour batsmen.
His career test average is 25 in 7 tests.
Greg Chappell played 87 tests fr Australia - scored a century on debut and in his last test, totally 7110 runs with 24 centuries, highest 247 at an average of 53.86, 23rd in the li (higher than Sunil Gavaskar @ 51.12, Miandad @52, Steve Waugh, Border, Inzamam and Ganguly@ 41.18 and same as Lara). he also took 47 wkts as a bowler, was WISDEN player of the year in 1973 and is considered one of the Game's greats.
There is nothing wrong in showing the fingure. He was pointing out that he had injury. I do't understand why media and others including people like Kirti azad and ashok malhota should bother about the issue. They have got better work than commenting on the things which is happening.
When Indian team is ready to take booing from Kolkata, they have right to take the things from Indian Coach.
I agree that Chappell shouldn't have gethe way he did, but the Kolkata crowd was no better, if not worse. And Kirti Azad shouldn't have resorted to blaming Chappell's country. I think Kirti Azad has not ventured out in the streets of late because he says that tis does not befit our culture. At every nook and corner, we see our cultured brethren making more vulgar gestures than this. I think the media is blowing up this episode too much.
Well what chappel did was wrong. But as an indian cricket fan i was disappointed to see the kolkata crowd behave in that way booing and jeering the Indian team and supporting the south african team.Just imagine if the same thing happens in all states that crowd booing the Indian team just because a player is not from their state.Ganguly is the one who made Indian team a fighting unit but how long one can stick to a team with past laurels.Consistent performance is needed to be in the indian team. The hyderabad crowd didnot boo because VVS Laxman is not in the team and kolkata crowd should know that there is more to indian cricket than merely ganguly.Indian cricket team is bigger than ganguly any day any time for that matter bigger than any individual player. for people of Kolkatta who came to eden gardens just think when was the last time your ganguly performed in an indian win.He is a Master in scoring centuries against zimbabwe bangladesh and namibia to maintain his average and ganguly always talks abt statistics that i scored runs, but when did he score runs when india needed it most. His test record shows that he hardly scored outside the subcontinent.
Ah the intellectual top brass and all Patriotic former Indian Cricketers are UP against chappell behaviour. What a silly people we are. He was th ONLY PATRITIC COACH who wanted his team win and So CALLED CALCUTTA FANS bullied our cricketers. Shame on Calcutta and all cheers to Chappell`s Boys.
