I can sniff dirty politics in the team selection. If Ganguly was selected now after his fans got into streets, why was he dropped earlier ? Ganguly getting selected after meeting Pawar leaves everyone suspect something fishy. This very well shows that cricket is no more viewed as a sport; but a big money making activity. thats all I can say for now because the cricket in its real sense has vanished long back.
its just too sad that young talent like mohammed kaif has to make way for old fruit like ganguly, now i understand that ganguly has experience but come on you have to be a fool to drop a person who will in the future be leading indian cricket... my advice/.....patience kaif....
BCCI does not need to use an Australian to get rid of Ganguly. You can do it on your own. We must have a sense of history if we want to improve. Historical contributions have their own value so does Ganguly's. Treat your former players right and they will contribute to the game for free
Are we going to witness the pedigree of Dalmiya, Pawar to represent Indian Cricket soon. They seem to have all the cards when it comes to who is in or out of Indian team.
Wow, so we decide to select a dismal failure of Indian cricket just because one state/player makes a lot of noise and past glory is good enough ? Maybe we need Kapil Dev in the team after all he was the captain of the 1983 world cup team. Maybe we should invent cricket for 22 players so that all Indian states are equally represented and we can say hell with Merit. Long live eqaual reapresentation, hell with National objectives. who cares if India wins or loses, every Indian state should be very happy. He must stop playing politics game, most of us know Ganguly is not physically fit, he must gracefully retire out rather than doing politics and making people of his state to stand with him like a political crowd.

How would the other cricketers will feel at the selection of Ganguly back in the team. They thought he would never returned and even the seniors in the team treated him like untouchable, did not bother to call on him when he was thrown out mercilessly. Ganguly must realise that no one likes to sit near the falling wall and rats are the first to leave the sinking ship. He will have to prove that he is made of iron wall and his ship is not Titanic.
