Pakistani bats men specially Afridi would most defeinately go after our main strike bowler ,the relatively inexperianced Pathan,in order to demoralise the main spearhead bowler.Experiance of Zaheer here should be handy.The exclusion of Balaji is unfair ,Balaji was India's most sucsessful bowler on the last tour to Pakistan ,and was more than handy with the bat too.Why was Aashish Nehra not even considerd for selection. Apart from this ,for the opening slot badly out of form Virender Sehwag would have to be accompanied by equally out of form Gambhir ,or the come back man Jaffer--- this could be another department of consern for Indian fans , Their could be some pressure on the middle order .
Omission of Khaif from the team selected for 3 Test series against Pakisan is very unfortunate. He is young and a renowned fielder. He has been outstanding and saved many matches single handedly. To drop him to accommodate the ageing Ganguly, who has failed both in batting and horrible in fielding is nothing but giving in to political intereference. Pawar has not done world of good presumably under pressure to take in the ageing Ganguly...Look at his agility and compare with Md. Khaif, he is nowhere near Khaif in fielding and batting. I hope Selectors will done justice to him soon.
Team for 3 tests against Pakistan has been chosen,it includes 2 spiners,3 openers(Sehvag included)4 seamers,5 middle order batsmen,and 2 wicket keepers. Wasim Jaffer:good to have him back,he is a genuine talent deserves to be there,because of his consistant performances in domestic cricket .he is perticularly good to watch and has the potential to win matches for the side on his day he should have been backed long ago.he must get the nod ahead of badly out of sorts Gambhir(Gambhir roop se kharab khel rehe hai). Dinesh Kartic has got a raw deal ,he had been left out because Dhoni was better batsman than him ,however Parthiv coming back is a big surprise because ,Kartic had prooved to be a better batsman and defenately a better keeper than Parthiv ,in a tour like this (a long one)their was need for 2 wiket keepers ,and most defenately Kartick was the better prospect.
