If the poor performers are to be dropped, its Gambhir and sewagh should be dropped 1st..
If his recent knock (100) against Zimbabwe is not to be considered by the Selectors(Kiran More), then all the 6 batsmen should've hit a century against Zimbabwe and the one among them (Sourav) need not b considered.
Hello Mr. Kiran More,
Note:He hit that century when NOBODY was able to hit.
Its all about the form, he can make yet another comeback -- despite the odds! and can surprise all his critics.
So beware you critics..... and always remember the wonderful victories he has provided all the way in yester years and thank him for being India's most successful captain ever.
He has shown the caliber and the talent at the highest level and that too in very critical situations. And I beleieve he ready to accept and prepared for every challenge given to him.
Even if he has to be left out permanently, then also we must heartly tender a farewell with all the dignity he deserves.
Let me also recall the people what happened with Dhanraj Pillai............? I think we are very good in making statues of rising sport-stars/heros and with faster pace we destroy them also... ?
WHY?
Can we give the same respect to the Heros with fading aura, like we do with "SUN" during the "SUNSET"?
Although it is very important that youngsters are introduced in the team - experience plays a big role in winning matches...be it test or one dayers. Ganguly should be allowed to open with sachin in the onedayers and open with shewag in the test (if he wishes to play for india). No. 6 is reserved for yuvraj who has proved his metal.
Ganguly should open in both forms of the game if he wishes to play for india.
the selectors were in great hurry to make him out of the squad..they forgot even his last scores in delhi test..selectors included him as an allrounder and he wasshowen the door without giving him the opportunty there in the field..again he got selected as an batsman and it is a mistry which performance of saurav made him a batsman from an allrounder...the selectors have given the same treatment to many players in the past not only in cricket ..............!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS
It is avery disappointing thing to exclude someone who
has scored 40&39. Instead Gautam Gambhir should have been excluded. it is unfair for Kiran More and the rest of the selection committe and also Greg Chappel
to put such harsh charges on Ganguly. It is his bad luck that he isn't able toturn the scores to tons but still he is playing an important role in building partnerships. And he has truely helped INDIA to make such big scores. So I think it is truely unfair.
