It is the right time to take retirement for Ganguly. he is having good reputation on cricket ground in the recent past.
But the past records have no contribution towards the recent situation. He is not only bulking a place of batsman but also creating major dissurbance in disciplinery actions of Indian Cricket Team.
I think Ganguly has been victim of politics in Indian cricket. I do not oppose the exclision of Ganguly from the either the one day or the test team, but the same rule should be applied to all the players of the Indian team.
What is Shewag still doing in the team? For that matter even Tendulkar. One big knock and then after several failures does not mean that one should retain his place in the team for ever.
All in all rules should apply to all the team members.
I dont understand why he is being neglected by the Indian selectors even after brilliant inings of play.
More surprising is when he was selected for the test sqard it was said that the team needs an allrounder and due to which they dropped Zahir Khan.
But how can Wasim jaffar who was taken as an openner replace him?
Why do the selector playing this dual policies? There must be some conspiracy going on against Ganguly. It took hours for the selecters to pick the players for the 1st and 2nd test,but for the 3rd match it was just five minutes.It proves that every thing was preplaned . The selectors had their descusion with Dravid and Chapell and declared the team. Even when Dravid praised Ganguly's inings ,why didnt he advocated for him. Its really hurts when players like Ganguly is treated in ths way.
In the Delhi Test Match he has played a Part what is expected out of a player in the Middle Order, He is great player who can play in any Position unlike some others who can Play OPening alone.
I dont Find any Reason Why he is being Omitted from the Team, This particular Move actually create a Scene saying that Cricket is no more a Game.....
I dont find any Single Reason why Sachin is there in the Team, is it like the Board wants Sachin to play for his Records or for the team??
People Dont Ever Forget the Contribution of Bengal Tiger Sourav, He is a Man of Action, he Proved himself in Domestic Cricket and returned to Team Unlike Sachin who came back directly after Six Months of Rest.
The Law is Same for everyone, He doesnt prove himself in the One Day Series with Srilanka and also SA. But Still he is there in the Team also Greg Chappel Praises him daily.
My Dear People dont Forgert Sourav Always Played for the team and Not for Records unlike others, He is the foundation for the New Young looking Indian Team. Dont Forget!!!
We should remember that class and talent are permanant.'Team India' is playing well in home conditions but that is always in the past. The real test lies in overseas. Besides if you tell about consistency, then what is Sehwag and Gambhir doing...also the way indian tail is batting in home conditions, it will not be the case in overseas conditions. Ganguly rightflly deserves a place in this side not replacing anybody but in his own right.
We should be ashemed of ourself that we being the indian cricket lover , could not do any thing for the greatest captain india has ever produced. All of us should protest against the cheap politics which is going on and on against Ganguli.
I am suprised to see Dravid (whom we used to know as a gentalman)who still feel unsecured for the place of captain and greedy to keep that crown to him. He could have always spoke about him. Once The Great Amarnath called tha board as bunch of jockers(which was right) I would like to call Dravid a joker in a circus organised by Mr Chappel.
Dravid must not forget his bad days when in one day cricket he used to score 17 out of 55 balls or 11 out of 89 balls. Do you remember those days? Yes , that time to keep him in one day team,Ganguly put him as the wicketkeeper and covered him from the pain which he is now giving Ganguly.
Did we ever thought how dada changed the entire team's view towards the game after we being left with cricket bating???
He was the only captian who had the guts to keep Australian captain wait on the field for toss and making flintoff understand that we can rule Lords also.
Yes of course it is not the way to treat ganguly like this way, selector should call him and then a decision has to be taken for the same before forcasting the team. As he was a good performar as captain as well as cricketer he should deserve some respect from the selector.
