How it is possible - Vettori, not the great spinner Kumble in the World XI Test squad? Specially the test is supposed to be played in the spin friendly pitch in Sydney. rubbish!!
There cannot be scopes for too many controversies as far as the selection of the team is concerned as most of the players selected are in good form. The only concern is the selection of Graham Smith as the captain inspite of the presence of players of the stature of Sachin, Lara and Dravid.And does Smith deserve a place in the team as a player !!!!
HI All It is sad to see India\\\'s Leg spin bowler Kumble left out of test squad in World XI.Kumble was only success ful spinner against Aussies in Australia. Considering his current test form he would have been greater problem for Aussies than any other spinner in squad. World XI thinktank has to see this and once again work out with the plan Deepak
It's a poor selection according to me.No kumble and Harbhajan who tormented Aussies.And since sydney is a turning track condusive for spinners there must be 2 spinners.Look at Anil kumble's record in sydney in last series 2004 India tour(took 12 wickets).I cant Pollock performing well vs Aussies so why him.Team should pick people not jus by names but by their recent performances against Aussies.So according to me Team selection is poor.
