why they dropped one of the greatest allrounder, Sanath Jayasuriya from final squads.On which performance in ODI Sehwag got preference over Dravid and Jayasuriya.
pickin vettori when muralidharan was already in the team is a bad selection and also smith as a captain.. vaughan can open the innings and can be made as captain.. he already has an upper hand over the aussies in the ashes.. and if they've left out inzy, it can only be on the fieldin basis.. but it'll prove expensive at the end of the day.. pickin afridi is another dumb thing.. aussies are too good for him.. he plays only against the weaker bolwin line up.. SOMEONE ANSWER THIS TO ME.. IS AFRIDI BETTER THAN INZY??
The selection of Tendulkar when he is not in form at all is that the selectors have taken every thing for granted and instead if they have given yuvraj or kaif would have been useful and inclusion of vettori instead of kumble is also makes to think...
The World IX team is more shocking than satisfying.How can they name someone with little experience as a captain when there were big guns inside.Inzy should have occupied is place and Lara or Dravid or Inzy should have got the captain slot. No one knows on what basis they have named Smith as captain.
Another suprise exclusion is Harbajan.With his track record against the aussies he is an instant selection.His record against the aussie batsman always plays in the minds of the batsmen. And Shane bond whould have been the most celebrated bowler in any team playing against the Aussie(I'm not sure whether he is in the 30 memeber squad).
I feel this is a wonderful team that has been selected given the current situations. Infact 8 of the players figure in both the teams. The big question that arises is that who will be the super sub in the matches. That I reckon will be the crucial factor in the outcome of the macthes.
they shud not sit rahul outside for one day match. i think he is a very good and patience palyer. i dont why tthe hell they put him outside, they really shud consider him again playing in 1 day match.
Hey Guys, it is a great squad, i like the selections, but Inzamam got the raw deal, where in the world greame smith is better than Inzy, He is just 2yrs into world cricket, Inzamam is been a great player for so long. He is worlds\'s 3rd best batsman after the icons of sachin and lara. I feel Smith shouldn\'t be in the squad bar his captaincy. The only reason i see him included is an opener. But there is an intiruging final 11 willbe , I see akhtar, Pollack, Muarali, Flintoff, Kallis, Lara, Sachin, Dravid, Smith being the captain, as automatic selections this leaves 2 spots open. from harmison, shewag, vettori, boucher for 2 spots. as there is no other opener shewag will be the other selection. Now Coach has to decide if he wants a better bowling lineup he should have harmison, that make dravid should keep the wickets otherwise boucher should be in. THen bowling gets weaker with akthar, murali, pollack three specialist bowlers with flintoff, kallis as all rounders. Lets see what happens. But Inzy deserves a place in Both the squads, one or two performances doesn\'t make people like kevin pietersen, steve Harmison etc as world beaters. Inzy has won more matches single handedly
