Atrocious umpiring has been helping the Aussies a lot
by Ram Dev on Oct 31, 2004 06:30 PM

India were certainly outplayed in batting, bowling, fieldig at Nagpur. But the umpires played a good part in that too.How could Shepperd miss that plumb decision for Clarke in the first innings when he was at 6 and went on to score 92. This certainly helped the Aussies when they should have been actually shot out within 300.Again,how could Aleem Dar miss the one for Katich when he was 0 in their 2nd innings. They would have been 20/2 and would have had the pressure back on them. He got 3 more reprieves by the umpire and made another 99. This certainly helped the Aussies with a bigger lead in the first innings.Similarly how many bad decisions were given against the Indians at B'lore. But the same umpires have been letting off Langer,Katich,Clarke and Ponting. How many times has Ponting been let off when he was plumb in Australia. Both his double hundreds were helped by the umpires. We could not win the test at Sydney due to Patel and Bucknor. But Sachin has been time and again given out when the ball was nowhere near the stumps. This is unfair. It is time to bring in technology. All,pls appeal.

Australia were destined to win
by Samarth on Oct 30, 2004 08:59 PM

There were great expectations from the Ind - Aus series. As the series unfolded, the Aussies showed why they are the best. But, they had their share of luck. Most umpiring decisions went their way. Katich and Clarke should have been out before they had scored in the Nagpur test. Yes, India did not bat well, but still if these decisions had gone India's way then things may have been different. Even in Bangalore there were decisions which went against India. Whatever anyone may say, surely all of us know that these do not even out fully. If we analyse the last 2 series against Aus, then it will show that almost all bad decisions went against India and for Australia. Australia should admit it. Then there was the rain in Chennai which sums it all up. Rain expected in Bangalore but came down in Chennai. Not Luck?? And most importantly, most Indian batsmen were out of form at the same time.
Clearly, luck played its part in Australia's victory. They were destined to win.

good show TEAM INDIA
by nilesh kortikar on Oct 30, 2004 06:40 PM

It was a really good show by our TEAM INDIA. What a great performance by everybody, specially THE WALL-Dravid and Very Very Special Laxman. Both these batsmen carry very high reputation in both the teams and i am sorry to say that they didnt batted like that reputation. S.Ganguly should now rest and if any body feels tht he is a good captain,,then he must sit on bench outside the boundry line and guide. We need a batsmen not a captain.
Cant say much abt MR.Tendulakar, he is a genius and was suffering.
Sehwag, u cant really predict. We dont need such batsmen in test cricket.
Chopra - Poor defence.
Yuvi- Good potential , but not using it.
Kaif- Good show. Really a good test as wel as one dayer.

Need to really do changes in top order ,as well as in middle order too.
No need of Sehwag and Chopra, VVS must take rest in Hyderabad and Ganguly must retire now. Ganguly cant bat, cant field, cant bowl, poor running betwwn the wkt.
Everything is so perfect with Ganguly.

All in all , best wishes to Aussies and India for final test.
Being a die-hard indian fan i will pray for INDIA and I know everybody will do the same, No matter how bad we play, we all will watch the last test.

the final frontier crumbles

Give our players money.they will go after it.not the runs. it is once again proved that these players cannot face the fast bowling of any kind. in the past they scored and won because of luck only. now they are undercover of not in form. world class batsmen shoudl know how to deal with any kind of situation.
it is pity that our people still see these players as demi-gods. only god can save our people.

i dont know why u guys trwat sachin a god ? why god fail in crucial situatuon. so much media hype before sachin joined the team. let me tell u he only plays to maintain his average and saurav only plays to maintain his captaincy.

i think he should be dropped first after saurav.

Lack of Game Plan
by Sachin.K on Oct 30, 2004 09:45 AM

First let me Congratulate Australia! Earlier india was playing as masters in home grounds & now it seams to be indians cant even win a match in there home grounds. The grounds selected for the series are all favourates for Indians, but still ? From the last 6 months indians are not planning there game well. Some one plays well on his day & some time the team wins (Luckly).See the Aussies how many players they have as back up , even they had won this series in india that too after 35 years with out the players like Ponting, Lee, Bevan, Tailor, Mark & Steve e.t.c. See how Clarke is playing for his team. He is young & Inexperienced. If he can play & make a century why not Yuvraj cant make at least a 50. In aus team if a player dosent perform he know well that he is going to sit outside next time. But that is not the case in India even if a player performs or dosent Perform he is Unnecessarily supported by the captain. Drop the guys who are not performing & give Opportunities to others to perform. There are enough players currently doing well with clubs & locall team. Dinesh Mongia, S.Sriram, Dinesh Kartik.... give some one else the opportunity & Selection team should see what they do.

Sack the Seniors
by Ajay Saigonkar on Oct 30, 2004 03:00 AM

If you can prepare a good track in Nagpur , why not in all places. The fact is simple our players have let the nation down. The 11 Aussies are not the No 1 in the world but everyone does their part correctly .
If Agarkar can smash the blowing why not VVS or Rahul . Remove all the Seniors including Tendulkar and bring in new players like Karthik . A team a can collapse once in many games(Like Aussies in second chennai test) but not in every test like India .
There are lot of players in India who are can give everything to their Country not like these Senior Cricketers .
Australia is a great side but you can't play like kids in all the games with our money and letting the nation down .
You can say I comment/critizise when you loose but the fact is you can't loose everytime and win 1 in 100 matches like the test win Pak.

If you can't do it just quit off and India has a lot of young talent waiting to prove them.Lets give them a chance .

amusing

I think that the problem with the Indian cricket team is that they have been made the "heroes".
There is one difference between an indian and other people around the world....the indian feels that he is born to get everything delievered to his footstep, others WORK HARD! these words are absent in the dictionary of indian cricketers.
They just want this macho image. India is a team of chance....australia is a team of class...their hard work shows on the field...they are a talented lot who also have worked hard.
well for india...i think they always get what they deserve.
Their true worth is totally apparent to everyone now.

i hope this continues in future so that this game ends in India and thousands of people stop wasting their time on this stupid game...which i dont think is meant for developing countries like India.
