I dont know what you are trying to insinuate here. If you think that the players dance to the tune of the sponsorers while playing matches, you are sadly mistaken. Do you think that the viewers actually realize that such and such a player endorses such and such a product in the middle of a cricket match? They have better things to do.

I think you are using the term "matrix" as an euphemism for match fixing. Such comments are not good for either the cricketers or the game of cricket.

Idiotic views

I agree with the other guys who have responded to this article. This author seems to be one of the most pessimistic creatures and I am sure he has no knowledge of cricket and jelous abt the popularity and earnings of the cricketers.

Rediff may loose its reputation by publishing such useless, meaningless articles. I request you to throw this author immediately out of your columnists' list and save your pride.

Absolute rubbish!

I had only heard that an Idle mind is a Devil's workshop. Now I believe its much more to it. I wonder how did this article make its way into the site and that too under the sports section. Hope the author watches lots of movies. Mr. Author there is a difference, a big one, between a Sport and a Movie. I wonder have you ever played cricket or any game for that matter. All your comments are absolute rubbish and for heaven's sake keep your stupid thoughts and assumptions to yourself. For all you know, assumptions are.....My kind advice to you is Stop watching movies, if you wanna watch cricket. Dont spoil the reputation of the Game and the Players.

Matrix of Life
by Manav on Jul 31, 2004 01:21 PM

Dear Mr. Sirnivas
U seems to be one lost person who want to say something but donno wat. U are winging abt life or critisizing cricket or abusing all Pvt companies or crying abt the wat is happening in this world. Make ur mind clear abt the issue u wanna discuss. Regarding the matrix I think the life itself is a Matrix. But then I you have guts to change the path go and do it rather then wingin abt wats going around and crying tat you can't make it big. Give ur best shot and if u can't do tat then atleast cry in the corner of your room.
