There is no point in blaming the coach. All coach can give the same tips whether indian or foreign coach.. but the main things is that the bolwer's mind.. how he reads the batsman mind... how he can bowl to the perfection.. If bolwer continues to bowl in perfect line then batsman will automatically forced to commit the mistake and thats all..

we all in our office think Indian Bowlers need foreign coach for
1)To learn new techniques and above all how to be consistant in there bowling line up ,
2) How to tackle differnt situation on the spot (i.e how to take quick and correct decission on fields)
3) When to get agressive and when not.

yes , India needs it most not now but when Kapil out of official cricket,we have many specialist batsmen like Sachin , Dravid, Shewag, Ganguly & etc, the selectors always try for batsmen butnot efficint bowlers & alrounders ( like Australians), Here is very nice step by BCCI did good decision, Hope India will emerge best bowlers as equal talent like as sachin,

I wish them goodluck & Ganguly team

tq

Why a foreign bowling coach?

I think India should utilize the services of its players who got retired just recently. Srinath and Kapil could be requested to serve as bowling coach for our bowlers who are in bench...
Well, we cannot buy/hire their services as they have many better jobs to do but if BCCI requests, I think they will be more than willing to help our reserve bowlers with few techniques and tips they have gained in during their service

Needs a Foreign Bowling coach

Yes, India does need a foreign coach. If we look back at our performances outside India, it is a nightmare for the Indian cricket fan. This is only because of the inability of our bowlers to meet the standards. Also, India's strong batting lineup is backing up the week bowling performance abroad.

It is critically important that the team needs a good bowling coach. No Indian (including Kapil) fits the bill. Sure Kapil has experience as a player. But his tenure as a national team coach was appaling. It is all right to be parochial or patriotic, but it is critically important to see what our home grown greats like Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar etc. has achieved by way of guiding or coaching young talent. Hence we require a good person to coach our bowlers, who never ever had proper guidance while in their formative years - to help them iron out deficiencies in techniques.

PS - You dont see english soccer fans or portuguese soccer fans cribbing at "PHOREN" coaches do you??

It is BCCI and team management's responsibility that best available person is selected to coach our bowlers
