The frequent attack on Tamil Nadu fishermen will now become a daily affair unless our leaders take bi-lateral issues strongly. What happened did happen, and now time to review relationship and improve the ties between the two nations to be cordial towards each other, or else this will be like PAK, Kashmir- India border issues.
India voted in favour of the resolution ONLY because it knew the resolution was going to be passed with or without India's support and NOT due to pressure from Tamil Nadu or due to any Humn Rights considerations. India has lost its credibility and its relevance in the world due to its unconditional support to the Rajapakse regime's atrocities.

Yes , there are about 3,00,000 Refugees from Lanka in Tamil Nadu & India should not soft pedal such deliberate Ethnic Cleansing by Lanka ... India should be more assertive in its approach , do not care for the China

And there should be a message that dont play the China Card on India
The whole world knows that to remain in power with the support of corrupt DMK party,India voted against Srilanka.Rest what MMS says are all blah_blah_blah
India does not have any ethical_foreign policy. Our govt policies are governed by minority appeasement and domestic political blackmailing...
If India was so concerned about human rights,it would have by now settled all Kashmiri_Pundits in Kashmir.Or it would have involved itself in massive humanitarian_activities in Srilanka. But instead it preferred to do the same in Afganistan.Because Afganistan has gold_copper_iron mines,In Jaffna_there is no such mines...
China is very astute_in foreign policies and it has very consistent foreign policies towards its neighbours.Thats why China is able to gradually make strong holds not only in Pakistan,Srilanka or Myanmar, but also in far away African nations.

Shut-up you half-backed uneducated moron. Use your simple brain before you write something like this!
This is a pity. Really unfortunate that one state's ego has forced a coalition Government to deviate on their foreign policy.
What is over is over. Prabhakaran is gone, and so is LTTE. Poor tamils were caught in the cross fire. But that happens in every country, in every conflict. It happens even in India.
What India can and should do now is to influence Sri Lanka for a better living for its Tamils. And this voting is just in the opposite direction.
Now Karunanidhi can take pride that India voted against Sri Lanka to prove a point. Good for his ego. Good to gain few votes. But not at all good for India as a whole, and the Tamils in Sri Lanka. But then who cares, what we need is votes, not well being of people.

Maybe not that good for India, but how isn't it good for Tamils in India, I can't understand that. It's for them only? And they were originally from India , hence we are bound to support our brothers

The ethnic Eelam Tamil are notform India but are indigenous to the land. In fact they have fer more rights to the land than the Sinhalese majority who are largely descended from inngrants form Orissa and Tamil Nadu. It is the estate Tamil livign in the central hinglands and the Sinhalese south who are of Indian origin. Do not mix these two Tamil groups.

the very fact that tamils can have "better life" inducates that you want that the singales shoud show more kindness to their inferiors in power. This is not acceptable. Tamils may be inferiro as on now in power. But unlesss they are treated equals ( and not giving a bettre life to them)srilanka can never prosper. if tamils lose two eyes they will lose one eye. Remember that srilanka has a doble per capita income then india and now their groth rate is suffering and they will sufer for ever unless they treat tailms equlas. crime is a crime and the criminals need punished. Do not be too selfish.
