The only periods when India did relatively good in foreign relations was during the period of PVN and Vajpayee. The rest of the time, the ONLY EXTERNAL AFFAIR was either "WAR Affair" or "RajivGandhi SoniaMaino Affair"!!!

So U claim that you will understand the culture and people of tamil nadu by spending 5 minutes in chennai. So Nice. But Can you tell what is your culture and the way you are living life?. It is not always good to blame the entire community or people by seeing or interacting with very few.

Any general statement based on anybody's caste, religion and place of living is useless. How funny it is to say anything about a person simply based on caste, religion and place of living. I also have been to Chennai and many parts of Tamil nadu and have found people good, cooperating and with a high degree of civic sense. One can agree with your comments on Foreign policy of India but not with your comments on Tamilians.

Even though i am a tamilian, i thought not to comment on this blog. However my inner conscience said to reply. Friend listen just by 5 minutes in chennai/TN do not mean that you can understand whole of TN. I was in Kolkata last year, when i got down @ howrah i was greeted by Prostitutes, that do not mean that Kolkota is land of Prostitues. Tamilians have struggled a lot in SL, they were treated as badly as jews in Europe(1939-1945), even worse than that....there are millions of tamil refuges comes to TN and TN govt gives them basic amenities. I do'nt think any State can do that, if at all they do it is out of good gesture. So underestimate a state by their color, even though they are Dark they are good people. God bless.
The issue behind the Resolution was the blatant human rights violation that is evidencec to have taken place in Sri Lanka. And that's deserved to be voted for.India is right in doing so. Why is Govt of India making such farce and unnecessary face saving endeavour. Who are we afraid of, in our pursuit to agitate human rights violation. India ought to stand by its decisions, taken on moral and ethical grounds rather than adopting a simmering diplomacy that sends a wrong signal to the outside world!

You are right. Nehru's was a popularity foreign policy until he realised the mistake in 1962 war when Prez JFK had betrayed him. The question one asks today is what is our foreign policy really? The pick and choose policy adopted by India right through makes our position too weak in Insternational arena; time and again!
After so many things this hopeless govt has done such a thing to stay in power. Better MMS and Sonia kill themselves.History will say this as the worst spineless govt ever formed in India.

You are not entirely correct. Even the Congress Govts. in sixties and seventies would go out of the way to please the Islamic Countries. It is part of the Congress DNA-Votebank Politics to stay in Power at the expense of the Nation!
