before the match start... so dhobi need not compalin after losing... anyway if any other captain would have complaian of the rule after losing to india then indian public and media would have asked for a life ban on him... but dhobi will be protected coz he cant be given a bad name due to all the sponsors money invested in him...
Technology is put in place to aid accuracy in judgement and give fairness to teams. So if the technology is to be respected then follow it.The ICC body wants to play safe and there seems to be a strong umpire lobby.
UDRS was introduced to minimize errors arising because of limitations of visual judgement by humans (i.e. onfield umpires). If, in ICC's opinion, the onfield umpire's visual judgement is good enough to overrule the hawkeye when the point of impact is as far as 2.5m from the stumps, why do they need the hawkeye at all to judge LBW decisions when the impact is even closer to the stumps?

B M:
The technology "predicts" the trajectory to be. Which has margins of error. Which fall beyond the acceptable levels when the impact is > 2.5 meters. If you think there is no margin of error then you must question Dhonis decision to not adopt Hawkeye in the past.
I wonder what this hawkeye is then meant for. If it correctly shows what a pair of distant umpire's eyes missed, then why isn't that accepted? If it still will not be accepted, then why should it be there in the first place?

i don't even understand what Dhoni was complaining about. The on-field umpire gave a not-out. The UDRS said the same. It is not that the UDRS and the on-field umire were in contradiction.

That is very true , you didn't understand. UDRS said it is out, but umpire took a call on it comparing the distance and still declared not out

AP: Why would Ireland do that. After all they won the match! How often have you seen winning a team resorting to whinning or excuse mongering?
