Yuvraj didn't take atleast 1 wicket though. We need bowlers who take wickets to win a match.

IT WAS A REAL MESS ON THE FIELD OVER UDRS WHEN INDIA PLAYED ENGLAND IN BANGALORE....

NORMAL RULE SAYS BENEFIT OF DOUBT SHOULD GO IN FAVOUR OF BATSMAN.... WHY NOT BOWLER ? ICC THINK TANK THINK....

Stupid. Batsman always gets a benefit of doubt becoz he just have one chance. Bowler , if he is good, can always come back and take the wicket of the next ball.

nope. not true. bowlers are constrained with 10 overs. Batsmen can merrily play upto 50 overs.

we also have star TV showing special replays. don't think umpires needed at all. So in Future; Dhoni could call his wife and get the decision.

Well said. You should advise Dhoni who for some reason has staunchly supported on field umpires and rejected hawkeye in particular.

I doubt whether hot spot helps in LBWs. Except when question of nicking onto pads. But hawkeye still required for ball trajectory.

This clown called silly Billy (Bowden) is so biased against Indians is evident from the way he was forcing Zak to stand in a particular position. Can he do the same to an Australian or an Englishman?

it is YOU who does not understand. why do you come with your chorus line 'whole world against you. eh?' when that is not even the issue. it is not that we think the whole world is against us ... ;)

your problem is that you think it is 'we against the whole world'. get out of that attitude. you think we are always against the whole world. that's your problem ... ;)

Stupid. Billy Bowden is one of the best (if not the best) in today's available umpires. I like the way he stood by his decision after the UDRS. The bottom line is LBW is a decision which can be given only if the umpire (or tech) is 100% sure that it will hit the stumps. In all other cases, the batsman gets the benefit of doubt.

LBW is the stick by which whites can defeat any black team. This draconian measure is used in all sports all over. You need a crafty thinking and a foxy outlook to find these anomalies.Jasmine revolution needed to kickstart to uproot the hegomony of white skin -We the Indian generate the bulk of revenue from Cricket-We promote the game-We will have the amjor say in all matters concerning the cricket-New Delhi should be the Head Quarters for world Governing Body.

Review system
by kay on Mar 02, 2011 05:21 PM

All balls must be reviewed unless runs have been scored or left.Strauss was out twice neither the umpire nor the Indian players had a clue.Maybe even Strauss!Did he cheat??

Abd what abt ball from the off-side.don't discriminate balls from the legside.

The 2.5 metre shd be marked then the square leg umpire may also miss one or two balls.

I feel a decision on all balls by 4 parties would not be feasible. Some wrong calls or a bit of cheating would remain...like match/spot fixing.

Saurav, even Andrew Strauss and Ian Bell did not know the rules. It is impossible for any players to read all the rules. We don't read IPCs and CrPCs before driving on road or living our lives.

Yes I agree with you. As a captain of India Cricket you must know all the rules & regulation
of game. This is a good lesson to Mr.Dhoni before saying any thing through media he should know what he is doing. For that match against England no doubt they played much better than us we are the looser that day we should accept that.Plz.concentrate on next game specially with bowlers & feilding.
Good Luck

peterson could use it well. If all umpires follow text book without applying the common sense part, then yeah. If they use sense, they could give such people out as the final judgment is with them.

I agree. If this rule is applied, any good batsman can play 2.5 meters outside the crease to fast bowlers and even to spinners and they would never get LBW at least with the UDRS>

So they should and so they have even before UDRS. Why do you think WK started standing up to even medium pacers? Obviously to drag back the batters in the crease.

Against Pseudos: Yes, batsmen have in the past but not on every occasion. With this rule, batsmen can take more advantage of it, that is the point I am making. Even the tail-enders which many a times get trapped LBW on the block hole, can survive with this rule.
