But Viswanathan Anand likes Spain than India. He stays in Spain only. Now he is a visitor to India

So what if he lives in Spain. He does that to be close to European circuit. Has he changed his citizenship? Don't make statements like Kapil Sibal.

I agree. There are so many who perform single handed.
Milkha Singh, Bindra, Rathore, Peas. All are great.
Sachin perform in a team. These people perform alone. They deserve more than Sachin

TOO-MUCH 'SACHIN' IS BAD FOR INDIAN CRIKET?
by dilip sengupta on Apr 06, 2011 03:51 PM

No doubt "Sachin" is greatest Icon in Cricket-world and did a greate job to uplift India's Image by his magnificient contribution in cricket but too much hype will do bad than the good to inspire the future-cricket of India.

Now by achieving so many laurels,he should now
get retire to give a chance to young Cricketer to groom......instead he anounced that he will
continue to play immerial. This is a bad omen for cricket and he knows that unless he himself
retire,no one 'selector' will have the courage "Not to select him".....THIS SHOULD'NT
HAVE BEEN HAPPENED?
HE IS A CRICKET "RATNA" NO DOUBT BUT HE IS TO BE CROWNED AS "BHARAT-RATNA" IS FAR MORE DOUBTFUL. All the "SACHIN & CRICKET" LOVERS SHOULD KNOW THAT CRICKET IS BEING "MAINLY PLAYED BY ONLY SIX-COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD ALTHOUH A FEW MORE ARE GROOMING,WITH IN THIS LIMITED POPULARITY, HOW AN ACHIEVER OF !.25BLN
COUNTRY LIKE INDIA CAN CONFER "BHARAT RATNA" TO HIM?....AS ISSUE ALL LEBEL HEADED CRICKETERS
SHOULD BE A THOUGHT INSTEAD OF A FRENZIED HYPE
WITH A CORUS!!

Money & opportunity are main business of Indian

Don't be more excited . Jaiprakash Narayan got B.R after 10 years of his death. What is the public contribution of Tendulkar. His records are only for individual gain. Can he contribute his earned wealth for public welfare.

Is there any value for Bharat Ratna
by BV SUBRAHMANYAM on Apr 06, 2011 03:50 PM

The moment the Bharat Ratna Awards are given to people like MGR (on political compulsion), Rajiv Gandhi (they have power in their hand) or even Bismillah Khan (just for playing Shehnai - again to gain political advantage [to please the minority voters)the award lost its value. So it is immaterial whether Sachin gets it or not.

Enough...
by mang on Apr 06, 2011 03:50 PM

ooh.. enough of this I scratch your back and you scratch mine!! Pl. remember one thing - this so called historic win is nothing when compared to the world cup finals we won against West Indies in Lords. The teams that we won against were much stronger then, we did not have home ground advantage and Kapil had to manage politicians like Gavaskar in the team!!
