poor batting and keeping..just riding as sourav used to do..other players winning the games..and he takes credit.

I dont know why media is giving so much hype to dhoni.

Too long to recover from bad patch

He is a good player. But there is lot of competition to get into the team from Vijay and Pujara. So better rest out when not in good form.

rest
by aravamudhan gopalaswamy on Nov 10, 2010 08:57 PM

Nothing wrong in giving him abreak& heaven will not fall in just doing that. his guru faced the same thing& came back strongly. not only that he is instrumental in winning or drawing in india or abroad. In the last test once he went every one was out & the score read 115 for 5. so gambhir requires rest & go to nets & get back the rythym & confidence & reduce the frequency of injury.

one option is not to rest him but to move him down the order and let players like kohli , raina open the batting with sehwag or tendulkar and let him come at no. 3 or 4

stupid suggestion, why change the batting orders of an out of form player with other greats.Let him be rested and goback to Murli Vijay who had scored a century against Oz or bring back Bombay opener Wasim Jaffer who has been scoring so good. After all gambhir is not indispensable.

Wassim Jaffer has got atleast 1000 chances and yet he failed at international leuels...he is expert in domectic crickets not in international.

you cannot experiment on positions then whole order will change. Again it will be problem for others & they will start failing 7 again we have to change the order. No mercy. you improve , fight & come back. nobody is indispensable.

That is a good suggestion, but not likely to be fulfilled. Gambhir would get another chance where he would score a painstaking 40 and he would be considered to be back in form!
