Is he not already resting?
by B M on Nov 11, 2010 08:14 AM  | Hide replies

Having scored just 86 of 9 innings, is Gambhir not already resting while the likes of Laxman, Sachin etc have been working hard and scoring tons of runs? ...and rediff is recommending that Gambhir be given even more rest!!!

gambir is 29 dravid dravid is 38, for gods sake dont compare the two. as dravid is finidhing hid career and gautam is half way barely. he was worlds best cricketer in 08-09. dont u think he desrves better , he shd be given a break to gt back in his form. thats it and please dont compare him with vijay who is 20-t player and not inthe same class as gambhir or anyone else in the team

Test

That itself shows that his "out of form" is still something others aspire towards... ;-)
Else how could he have scored so many runs by now? ;-)

he has scored all runs in the opening slot. most of his runs came when team did not require..if he is really God ,why he did not score 200 against australia in world cup when it was required the most ?

Dear Sachin Hatred, it has become a habit that wherever the topic gets started it would turn towards sachin regardlessly. That is the greatness of the master that he demands attention of everyone everytime. To your view of scoring in the opening slot is not required for team then batting slot in cricket should start only from number 5. 350 in a world cup final is a himalayan tast. Even australia would have lost had they been put in the same situation. Remember it is because of sachin alone we made it to the final atleast. That fact is not coming before your eyes instead the finals alone you people are talking which shows that you people are trying find fault on him in whatever way possible.

In that time did you dreamed 350 runs chased after first inning? ... Whole India was sure of loosing after seeing 350 to chase once Sachin was Out.

2 points, gambhir was not yet inthe team in 2003wc final so its irrevelant question. 2. he made debut in 2004, and sachin is only player in the Indian history never drpped, he can walk away with all his mistakes forgotten there must be a reason for this

Yes, he is out of form only when compared with his own standard...and not when compared with the standard of his team-mates in Indian Team. Just compare statistically.

Mohammad Haris:

You remind me of the guy who lost the bet on who's going to win the ODI, and lost again when the recording was telecast in the night.... :)

For records, you can go check the name of the author printed near the top of Gambhir's photograph.. :)

Congratulations on losing the bet, by the way!!! ;-)

That's his real class
by B M on Nov 11, 2010 07:13 AM

86 runs in 9 innings is Gambhir's true class. A string of good scores prior to that was an abberation.
