Just because he was given wrong LBW by umpires, he has to suffer. Remember one thing in Cricket that no one has to prove himself. They have already proved themselves. Only LBW are the weapons for opponents to get these batsmen out.

Dharod
Nice to know that he was given LBW in both innings at Motera....
Next time I'll make an attempt to watch the same match that you are watching, instead of following Team Sahara India which seems to be doing something st00p1d instead of abiding by your rules... ;-)

Oh yeah.. LBW in all 9 innings??????? If they don't perform well they should not be selected. eg - Peterson - Ponting - Yuvraj - Kallis - All these playes were taken off when they did not perform well. Gambir should be treated the same.
OK. Gambir is out of form. Rest him. Bring in the team that defeated Australians; A combination of young and experienced players. Bring in Murali vijay and Pujara. Dravid's fielding (dropping catches) was also a serious concern. Raina did not shine. Bowling was weak. Can we import fresh blood from Ranji Trophy or other inter state teams for doing effective bowling?
If Gambhir fails in the next test too, he should be replaced by Vijay in the third test. Remember, Vijay is sitting out inspite of scoring a hundred and a 40 in his last test vs Australia, while Gambhir is sitting in the XI despite scoring only 86 runs in his last 9 innings. He is living on reputation alone. If he fails next test, he has to be dropped for Vijay. Gambhir should go to SA as backup opener then.
in everyones life and career there are ups and downs which gives an opportunity to evolve oneself.sehwag, tendulkar, saurav, harbhajn, kumbleand now yuvraaj have all gone through this phase.perhaps gambhir should go back to domestic cricket to work around his form and confidence.

Are our local bowlers better than those from the IPL which consists of international bowlers? If, so then i am elated!

Ramakrishnan, Yes, I think so. Most of our bowlers in Test Team are spent forces. NZ bowlers are far superior on the whole. Krishnamachari Srikant should do a correction exercise before the 2nd test with NZ.
