I think Prasar Bharati should give all the revenue which is collected from advertising to Nimbus. Then there will be no need of showing delay live telecast. I have agreed with Mr. Shishupal. Prasar Bharati should resolve these problems before the starting of the series.

I agree with you. When I&B minister calls for patriotism and asks Nimbus that it should give patriotism importance over business, the same applies to DD. It should give all the ad revenue to Nimbus while it gets the feed from Nimbus. In other words, DD should not think of business either and should just be patriotic.

I agree with manoj.I&B Minister should resign. Because in the first place, he should take the responsibility of the goof up. Then, he should stop thinking that by showing his patriotic outbursts,he can take everyone fora ride. And because nowhe is arm-twisting NIMBUS to share the feed when they have paid a whopping 621million $. Ministerji, enough of your drama. We know your are a seasoned politician.
Better live without live coverage of Indian Cricket. Our boys dont perform else where to be of worthy that we can watch them in India. Money saved!! Also Neo sports will be brought to justice by market forces. They can't charge Rs53/month and get away. They have to bow before Indian People . After all If thy say DD walas are dadas, then they should look at their own backs and see if that's clean enough that they are not called dadas!!
Doordarshan is telecasting out dated programmes like serials, old telefilims, value less discussions etc. They have not understood the need of live telecast of Ind-WI current series and dit the last minute run for it. They should stop showing the serials which are long years' together. This serials are soo boring and one episode ends with mere few dialogues of the artists. The serial prolong with showing the individual faces of the artists several times and from several ankles, thereby making serials are years lengthy. They dont know, peole are not viewing such irritated programmes and prefering other channels. Instead, they have to show a single and fast moving story at a time and also programme like KON BENEGA KROREPATI anchored by a senior celebrity. Now a days, peole like to laugh instead of crying by viewing sentimental serials. Introduce good humeric programmes. Few already showing, but in the TV only people are laughing, we can't. Programme anchored by Anu Kapoor is maintaining standard, but he should reduce his speach time and give more time for programme. Also the Koi Jeetha wahi sikhadar, is also doing ok, but the anchoring lady is not needed and irritating. All the years' long serials are to be stopped with immediate effect. Doordarshan has to appoint a noted celebrity from film industry or so, to head the company who can better judge the people's pulse and adopt good programmes. P.S. VISWAMBHARAN, BANGALORE
i don't see any fault with Nimbus. it is sheer neglegence and arrogant nature of prasarbharati and BCCI. this schedule is prepared months back. was prasarbharati unaware of this?? what is the reason of fighting now just at the neck of the moment.
Why does prasar bharti have to poke in the nose everytime to mix match things...espn-star , ten sports are big players of the game with money to buy rights...govt. should take that truth and ...doordarshnn...how can one see a match on doordarshan!!!!!!!
In every cricket telecast, this is the case. Government or Prasar Bharti is fully aware of the schedule of the matches. But they do not resolve the telecast right matter. This is just to show to the public, by settling the matter mid of the series, how they are fighting with the telecasters to show the matches.
Selfish Nimbus suggested DD to encrypt its channels. This is the height of their arrogance. Millions of Indians in asia view DD as the only source to keep their cultural ties with homeland. Already DD has moved all regional & news channel to local beams. It is a great relief that Prasar Bharati didn't fall in this trap.

Nimbus has a right to be arrogant. They have purchased the right by paying 612 million dollars It is their right to ask DD to encrypt the signals so that piracy is avoided. Otherwise any operator can steal signals from DD and telecast it free of cost. Prasara Bharathi should agree to Nimbus terms.
