3. Consecutive F appearences
4. Olympic Final Appearence.

5. Weeks as no.1,

They are all "NON - SURFACE" records!!

As such take only back stage,

when compared with MAJOR SURFACE RECORDS held.

NADAL came and GONE and FEDERER remains as KING...!!!
by Mahesh Kishore on Aug 27, 2012 10:47 AM  | Hide replies

Nadal will be fit again for the clay court season next year. Mark my words....!!!!
If anyone can please explain why NADAL has only One US open and One Australian open and 2 Wimbeldon after playing for 10 years...!!!!
Yes now the question would be FEDERER has only one french open... !!!!
Now lets compare...
FEDERER... 7 WB, 5 US, 4 AO and 1 FO.... 17 GS
NADAL......2 WB, 1 US, 1 AO and 7 FO.... 11 GS
FEDERER....300 Weeks at No.1
NADAL ..... 80 ?? Weeks.. not sure..
hmmmmm... and now if someone tells NADAL is better than FEDERER, sorry guys no answer..!!

Even talking about the current year...
GRANDPA FEDERER is on top spot not just on rankings.. but also on no of titles... when we have youngsters who are 5-6 years younger are still not able to match him...!!! Thats shows the greatness...

To conclude,
by Demons on Aug 27, 2012 08:23 AM  | Hide replies

Federer took;

18 - E.I.G.H.T.E.E.N, Grand Slam Appearence,

over,

5 - Y.E.A.R.S,

to win his F.I.R.S.T GS,

without facing a single GS holder!!

By this Standard,

nadal has already 16 GS to his credit, each time he faces a "Title" holder!!

by Demons on Aug 26, 2012 09:42 AM  | Hide replies

Besides 6 First Round Exits,

Great Fed has - 2 PRE QUALIFICATION ROUND EXITS!!

That's worse than a "First Round Exit"..

That too on hard courts!

NO Tennis player has such a dubious record to his credit!!

nadal is biggest cheater taking more time than the official ruling time between points for disturbing the rhythm of the opponent and taking tips from his uncle on court but still he was thrashed by a 100th ranked player during his prime

There is one player , when he was world#2 , he lost to Joachim Johansson, ranked world No#690 in 2006. This may be more dubious than the defeat at start of your carreer, right ? Hope you will google to find out who that great #2 player was..

Looks like suddenly u found reaching final statistics might Favour Nadal.. pity, it doesnt.
I think you are partially blind too.
Federer have reached consecutive 10 GS finals. btwn 2005 Wimbledon to 2007 US Open.
Federer reached Final of all 4GS in a calendar year for 3times. Nadal yet to do that.
Federer have 3 consecutive finals 4 times too.
Looking forward to more funny illogical things from you.. For a change, can you come back to this post and defend yourself on reaching finals ?

Nadal is 5 years Fedex's junior. The very fact that Fedex's most die hard fans need to talk about Nadal in the same breath as Federer, and compare Federer's record with Nadal, proves the greatness of Nadal.Even if Nadal retired today,he is still a legend of the game.Everytime people write him off,he just comes back stronger and proves them wrong.Critics started off by calling him a one court wonder. He proved them wrong by reaching 3 successive Wimbledon finals, and winning the third against one of the greatest grass court players of all time.He won another Wimbledon title and lost another final. He won the Australian Open and US Open, becoming the youngest to achieve a career slam.An Olympic Gold(on hard court) was to follow.Add to that 3 Dacis Cup triumphs with his team, and a record number of ATP masters titles(a record which Federer,5 years his senior, only last week managed to equal)and you have a legend of the game.If someone still thinks he is a one court wonder,it is only a pointer towards severe retardation.

nadal is a great player, no doubt... but he is yet to show he is the greatest. he hasn't won the atp world tour title yet... which is played by the top 8 players in that year. this is a tournament federer has won 6 times.

If you want to account for 2 Setters;

Here is the Account!

Borg - 102 2 Set tiles

Laver - 301 2 Set tiles

Nadal - 21 ATP Mas.,

Mc.Enroe - 7 WTF titles

Rocky...ATP tour final is not a yardstick of greatness. It's just another tourney like any other Masters series event. If you want to include that, what about the Olympics where all the top players compete too,and obviously with more interest because national prestige is at stake!

How many weeks at top ??
by bhunu pro on Aug 25, 2012 11:01 PM  | Hide replies

Doesnt need to go into much details.. Nadal has a record for being longest at position no. 2 .. 1 is for Kings.. In contention of being greatest and u dont even hold d position for consecutive 13 months ?? Compare dat vth Fedex's no of week being no.1...lolz ..If Nadal is greatest ( even in dis era).. then Murray is Jesus Christ of 20th century... King beats hands down at T-O-P
