Again d kids explaining weird logic... mentioning ignore Rafa's clay record and so as Fed's Grass record.. if dats d case.. dnt compare Rafa even with Djoko..
Clearly many of the Fed fans here are losing their cool.I mean we already know that Mithani is handicapped and cant be helped, but the new kids on the block Rajesh and bhunu are quite amusing to be honest.Let me put it once more quite straight to both of you,Rajesh and Bhunu.Q 1)If Nadal is a clay court specialist due to the fact that he has won 70% plus of his Slams and Masters titles on clay, doesnt it make Federer a hard court specialist as he too has won 70% plus of his slams and masters on hard courts??Or are the rules different for Federer? Q2)Rajesh seemed quite puzzled by the fact that Nadal has won only 1 US Open in several attempts. Is it not similarly puzzling that Federer has won only 1 French OPen in many more attempts than Nadal had at the US??These are very simple questions,so please give straight answers instead of changing the topic and beating around the bush. And I am assuming that grass court prowess is not counted in this argument.Cos if Nadal is a clay courter despite having won Wimbledon twice, and losing 3 finals(2 to the great Federer himself),then clearly Federer's grass court record should also not be counted. So he's pretty much a hard court specialist,by your own(warped) 'logic'.

Q1. Federer have 9Hard court GS, 7grass, 1Clay. So, 9 out of 17 is not 70%, is it so by your logic ? And also,in an year 1 clay GS & 2 Hard cout GS.
Q2. It is similarly puzzling that Federer have only 1 French open like Nadal. Also puzzling how Federer managed to reach French Open final 4more times & Why was he not defeated in lower rounds consistently? Dont you think Federer Record on French is better than Nadal's in US ? 1title 4RUP against 1title 1RUP ?

to your Q1 again : there are 6 Hard court Masters., I think 3 on clay. In an year 4 clay (1GS 3 Masters 1000). And 8 hard court (2GS 6masters). I think mathematics says, you will have chances of winning more hard court titles, isnt it ? Federer have 10 Grass court titles, 12 Clay court 34 Outdoor hard court remaining Indoor hard court and carpet. Isnt this more proportionate compared to the proportion of tournaments played on each court. and compared to other top players ?

CHaitanya...thanks for answering what your fellow Fed fan Rajesh couldnt. My questions were in response to nonsense arguments put forward by Rajesh.I was only trying to prove how baseless his arguments were,by putting forth these questions. Thanks for proving what mathematics will say.Because that's exactly what I Wanted to prove. That if you want to prove Nadal is a clay courter, you will have to exclude his grass court exploits. And then if you want to be impartial, you have to exclude grass court record of Federer too.And if grass court exploits are excluded, then Federer is a hard courter.Lastly,we cant exclude the fact that Federer's records are achieved with a 5 year seniority to Nadal. At the age of 25,Federer and Nadal's records quite match up,and in fact Nadal has an overall lead. Also, with hard court being his favored surface, and with your mathematical genuis just showing us that there is more of a chance at winning hard court titles, the fact that at age 30 Federer has the same number of ATP masters titles than Nadal,5 years his junior, actually suggests that Nadal has an edge and has a better win percentage. To close...I never said Federer wasnt great,or that he was inferior to Nadal,or that Nadal is the greatest ever.I just dont agree that Federer is the greatest ever. He's up there of course, but I still feel he isnt the greatest ever and can put forward logical arguments why I dont think so.The above post was just a reply to the handicapped fellows who talk nonsense.

You said "Hard Court - Never faced Nadal in that 9 GS!!" Nadal was not playing in all those 9GS ? Oh, he couldnt defeat lower ranked playes and was not qualified to play title rounds. Not qualified to face Federer in those GSs.. So, what should Federer have done ? Should he have played those matches for Nadal where Nadal lost?

If Nadal loses to some Youzhny,Blake or Gonzalvez , poor Federer is left to defeat Baghdatis in Final. Everyone can understand its Federer's fault.!!
My first love Steffi too didnt win major slam title more 3 years after she started appearing for major events.. I still support her as greatest along with Martina..I still love her.. but cant accept Monica seles as greatest..whatever d reason and incidents happen..no I-F..No B-U-T .. Steffi d queen !!

You cant accept Monica Seles as greatest that's your problem. There are many ifs and buts about Steffi...and Monica Seles clearly OWNED Steffi till she was taken out(not by Steffi, but by one of her deranged fans).

correct..but dat cant make Seles as greatest ever..since she COULD hve won more HAD dat incidnet not happened..same case with Nadal.. see everytime u hv to put If-Else loop..
Sportman claiming 2 b no. 1 and having slams arnd 70% on same surface is a unique record in itself ..where u can b thrashed by unseeded player on other court at times..these ppl dont dominate era.. its a passing phase.. ppl hv patience nd let Nadal turn 29..den we wud see how he faired.. oh btw if he may increase slam c-o-u-n-t-s ..
Re: Dominance --patience
by Anuraug Rathor on Aug 25, 2012 10:38 PM
Federer also has 'slams and 70% on same surface'(hard) which is also a unique record as you state yourself.
So for Nadal fans first round exist done by fedex has made d player an avg even if he has won d max slams on any court aprt from clay.. r-i-d-i-c-u-l-o-u-s..by d same logic..Navaratilova didnt win any slam for 3 years after started playing in 1975.. lolz..though I love Steffi.. :)

Nadal fans are the funniest..comes up with very funny ridiculous stats which favors nadal..Next they will say "no other player can pull underpants like nadal..so nadal is the best"

Stats are stats and they dont lie,as you yourself claimed,Rajesh.Except that they are 'funny and ridiculous' when they dont suit you??

First thing, you need to be "Qaulified" to play in GS Or atleast go through qualification rounds. Federer started playing in GS the within an year he started pro. Nadal didnt play in GS for 2.5years after turning pro. So, do you say Nadal made pre-first round Exit for 1.5years more compared to Federer.. Looks like your first round logic is not working.. Ok, now go and find out if Federer lost in primary school and come back and say Nadal didnt lose in primary school matches... No one become #1 on debut.. everyone take time, Nadal definately took less time.. that shouldnt demerit Federer's achievement in any way.
He is not a Hard court specialist He is not a Clay court specialist He is not even grass court specialist. Yet he have 17 GS and he has been #1 for 300 weeks.. Yes Yes He's Roger Federrer..
Your court specialist thing didnt work, go and find something else.

If smebody is NOT a top seed and looses out early..its fair..credit to the then champion...but if player is top seed and makes exit by an unseeded player..dat raises the question.. lolz..unique record
