Only Sachin is Time Less.........

All Time Great Stars like Tiger Woods , Roger Federer are " DONE STARS " now.
It appears that only Sachin is Time less. Age has NOT affected Cricket Super Star.
Federer at 29, is finding it difficult to maintain World Class Tennis.
Tendulkar at 29 was Full of Fire and even at 37 he is considered Greatest Batsman ever !!!

Only a game like Cricket will help Sachin stay long even for 50 years stand in the sun for 6 hours face 150 balls and score 50 or 40 runs and compile records, this shows he is a lazy man. Let him come to other competitive sports and see where his so called age stands

Federer & Others

Please see the celebrations of each and evry player after they beat Federer. They celebrate as if they have conquered the world and do not seem at all to be upset when beaten by him. Well, after we are all just followers of tennis. They are players. How long does it take for all of us to see...that Fedex never sweats to win...he just creates new shots. Some times those shots do not pay off...thats all. Rafa is his only nemesis as he would retrieve the ball from Spain if it is hit from Wimbeldon. Taking nothing away from Rafa...I am not sure...how long Rafa will stay fit. And we are talking of..Murrays, Tsongas, Berdychs...who are just one time wonders (or rather, the lucky bunch) and comparing them to Fed. Guys, its high time...we understand the difference between art and victory. Art is forever...Victory is just momentary...

See Mr Srinivas when Sampras departed the scene, the people threw stones at Pete, and now it is happening to Federer. Just remember one thing to the people, here u have to respect the achievements of Federer or Sampras. None of the people over here can ever achieve what the two best players have achieved. There will be another Federer coming on the way, u will say the same unruly comments and ignore what Roger actually achieved. Avoid it please "people"

Silly, if u r saying Murry is one time wonder then u need a rest my frnds.
Sampras and Fedex are great and will remain great, but every great has to come down one day, now its fedex turn (I still feel he will play another 2 years). Nadal is nt better than others but he knows hw to win and thats what matter in sports, if he cant surpasss Pet and fedex, he wont be behind either.

Federer - Take a cue from Sachn
by LOL on Jul 01, 2011 06:43 AM

If you will, Regroup, restore and rebound. Since there is so much already piled up in your favour, every small progress you make will seem enormous to public in the light of the weight of the records you already have.

But if you do end up losing, no regrets packing your bags and doing something else for the rest of the life, like the legendary Borg.

Reason for decay !
by Unmai Vilambi on Jun 30, 2011 11:35 PM  | Hide replies

Most analysts say that the reason for Federer's slump is his old age, and the rise of a new crop of talented players.

But, I think his slump due to his own attitude. He carries an attitude of a white-collar executive, who will not dirty his shirts no matter what. Like in the match against Tsonga, he won the first 2 sets easily. But when Tsonga started belting it out, Federer did not want to change his game to take the fight to Tsonga. As with the other players he has lost to - Djokovic, Berdych, Soderling - he waits for their level to drop down, rather than raising his level to nullify them. (Except in the case of Nadal, with whom Federer knows he cannot do much).

Age is one thing, but, if you are not ready to counter punch against players who can play some flat shots, you don't stand a chance of winning.

When younger crop of players are coming up, it is tough to cope the pressure. Once Federer was very good in handling his play, but now it is hard for him, it is obvious. Not only him but many players of the past faced the same fate. This is really unbelievable after being 2 sets up, and losing it is really hard for Fed fans to digest. He had the rest of three sets where he could have put the fight. He says he will come back but could not win this year, how the heck will he come back next year when the rest of the field is soo strong

Federer has created some remarkable records
by husshez@rediffmail.com on Jun 30, 2011 11:07 PM

and he keeps creating more and more while he still is playing. The record of most career wins in grandslams by jimmy connors will easily be beaten by federer. he is only 11 matches away. and jimmy connors played till his late 30s. Federer records will never be broken. His record of semifinals and quarterfinals streak will be unbeatable. His record of 16 and counting grandslams will not broken. The records federer has created, do not even feel like they have been created by a human. That's how extraordinary these records are. Its truly remarkable how federer has dominated tennis. He plays textbook tennis. Basically, FEDERER IS TENNIS. If anyone wants to learn how to play tennis, learn from the maestro ROGER FEDERER. Other players of today are not even worthy to be mentioned in the same breath as THE GREAT ROGER FEDERER. YOU ARE THE GREATEST.

Sampras the GOAT
by super hero on Jun 30, 2011 10:46 PM  | Hide replies

Greatest of all time is not simply the one with more titles. Tennis magazine released all time rankings for a period of 40 years till 2005. Sampras played in a golden era and dominated 4 greats. Fedex is like michael jackson. He is juts a child molestor. Can only win against kids and ordinary players like roddick, philipossis, nalbandian etc. With 16 titiles he is great but not greatest. When is the last time he beat nadal in a 5 set match? 2007 Wim. He is 25-26 then. After that he lost to Nadal in grandslams in all three surfaces. GOAT my foot.

You are absolutely on the spot. I know and everyone can understand that you have never touched a single sporting gadget in your life, otherwise you would not have commented like this. An individual sport having umpires and chair umpires can not be won by any unfair means or cheating. You are a typical Federrer fan, who is unable to comprehend the fact that Nadal is better than Federrer.
Federrer all along his GS Career has won against different players. He has not faced a single rivalry like Borg-McEnroe, or Edberg-Becker or Sampras-Agassi type. The first rivalry he faced in his life is against Nadal and he is a consistent loser against Nadal. Whereas Nadal made his mark by beating Federrer in most of the finals (Till date out of 10 GS he has defeated Federrer in 6 finals). So please console yourself and accept that Nadal is better than Federrer.

Just celebrate the champions and their deeds....
by Manu Zach on Jun 30, 2011 08:38 PM  | Hide replies

Some people seem to find happiness in talking about how the great Roger Federer was conquered at the Wimbledon, as if they have some personal scores to settle with the latter. Why can't they just think for a second that they are talking about a man who has won 6 (I guess) titles and that too 5 in a row at the Championships. Federer is 30 years old, and some younger, fitter and stronger players are emerging on the scene which is increasingly becoming a power sport in all aspects.
These miserable souls seem to find happiness in celebrating the fall of a champion. Federer is human, and like all other human beings, there is a limit to what he can achieve in his trade, and he too must bow out one day.
