Its not unethical, Its difficult. we play this game from child so we think it is easy. I have been to U.S and they have said me the same. and by the way China is promoting cricket but there is not much enthusiasm as its difficult to play.
But it is also a fact that if we want to become leader or superpower we have treat every sport equally and give every sport achiever a great Respect.
Cricket is given royal treatment and other games are neglected like second woomen in old sikh king Major Dyanchand Balvir singh contribution since Amsterdam 1928 Olympics to 1956 Olympics 7 times Gold Medalist is simply Outstanding and extra ordinary if sachin could have won every world cup he played that is 6 world cups then we caould have replaced Lord Ganapathi's statue or idol by Sachin so much crazy we indians are for cricket? so this makes feeling in the mind of other game players unsafe and they think they are children of lesser god and cricket stars enjoy Royal life Yuvraj singh get Deepika that too in Sydney 4fun? there are many more example of scandals by cricket stars like M Azaruddin Match Fixing, Ravi Shashtri Amruta Singh romance now dhoni's honeymoon on west indies tour and now england his wife sakshi is wife him free of cost exploiting BCCI money? Can Dhoni not take break and go4it?

GO to hell.... SACH is GOD of Cricket.. definetly Dhyan chand feet is admirable BUT where was this lousy CM of MP doing Poti !!!!! so keep mum he will get some other award

Till today no one was commenting on Dhyanchand. It has been 60 yrs but nobody came forward. It is sad for Dhyan Chand, I think he should have given the award much earlier.
These Politicians are master of timings. Nobody said anything even Media was talking all about sachin. But when it came to final stages some voices are coming.

You have hit the nail on the head. This is just to open the gates for Sachin to get the award. By giving this award to Mr. Dhyan Chand they will justify that they have done the homework well before giving it to Sachin.
This is where Sachin himself should come forward & ask people to stop promoting him for the award.
All current Bharat Ratna contenders like SRT, Anand, and possibly Leander SHOULD eqivocally suggest DhynChand as mark Respect to Great Champion, this will be tribute as well. Anand and Leander may Agrre to this BUT Sachin, so desperate to " Grab" Bharat Ratna even by paying for it WILL NEVER Agree and will try hard for First Bharat ratna for Sports Person. Sachin's hunger for popularity will not allow him to Suggest Dhynchand for BR.

Dhyan Chand and Sachin are Gods in their respective sports.
All this nonsense now is just for political mileage.
None of the politicans cares a damn about hockey, cricket or any other sports.
They just take out any random topic and make a hue and cry.
There is absolutely no passion for sports in this country.
I request you guys to stop comparing sportsmen. They all have given their best to bring laurels to our beloved India, while these politicians use their name as tools to gain their own political agenda.
Who cares if Sachin or Dhyanchand is given an award or not? They will long be remembered by sportsmen and sports fans around the world for their contribution to their individual sports.
Let us not compare Dhyanchand and Sachin. . He was offered a general's post by Hitler when india defeated germany 8-1 in 1936 olympics. . He said no and told hitler that he was a soldier in the indian army. . He did not play for awards, had to go to war also. . He is beyond this so called ration card "bharat rathna". . He is no more and cant sell it like some people do. . Let him rest in peace. . Bharat Rathna is not more than a ration card now.

DhynanChand Was poor, Cricket " God" is multi millioner, Can pay for BR, all politicians are at God's feet. Lata Mangeshkar will Push for " God's" BR and so will his devotees, and " Reputed" players.

U r right.... . Dhyanchand is above all this. . He does not need this ration card after his demise. . Let SRT get all that he can, yet he cant match Dhyanchand

What i am saying is Dhyanchand is much above all this awards. . Let us not compare him with Sachin. . Sachin can become the president of this country also. . The point is Bharat Rathna is so small for Dhyanchand
