Yes Dhyan Chand deserves it. So does Vishy Anand. Both these legends deserve before Sachin is given the award. Sachin plays a game played by just 10 countries and popular only in India! The award should reflect the glorious achievements of the sportsperson and not popularity. While no one disputes the achievements of Sachin in the 10-nation game of cricket, the achievements of both Dhyan Chand and Vishy Anand are far greater in comparison!
Vilasrao Deskmukh was the chief minister when terrorists (Kasab & Co) attacked Mumbai. What has he done about that? Instead, he wants to score some points by getting Sachin the Bharat Ratna.
People like Vilasrao Deskmukh are useless people who can never match the dynamism of Narendra Modi or Nitish Kumar. Instead, they always make issues out of non-issues (Sachin getting Bharat Ratna). There are more issues that first need to be addressed.

All sportsperson to be Treated Equally. If we want to become superpower we have to respect all sport person. all sport person should be motivated to perform for the country.
Even if I am a Die Hard Fan of Sachin I would not feel wrong if Dhyan Chand is been given award first.
Bu at the same time we should even agree that it is unfair that he has to wait too long for the award to be considered.

Superpower nonsense. The police still can't get hold of the serial blast now almost 2 weeks, not even a clue. Hopeless country. If we have chor politician will it ever become superpower. Pak is burning congress akses with missiles but chidu at instruction of high command sonia and ahmed patel is licking their butts. Indira took decision on her own but sonia need ahmed patel, we Indian need to kick this ahmed patel out of parliament, then only the govt will hang kasab.
Shri shivrajsingh's logic in this context cannot be brushed aside. Dhyan chand was a great sports personality and he must be front runner for BR. For the time being Sachin should satisfy with khel ratana only. Recommendation of sachin's name for BR by bypassing all senior sports personalities is unfair and illogical.
